Principal's Message
Dear GTMS Families,
The start of the school year has been wonderful! Our students are learning what it means to be a Grizzly by embracing our core values of Respecting the Paw—respecting yourself, respecting others, respecting the school, and respecting the community.
We kicked off our Respect the Paw Incentive Program with an assembly, and we are excited to show off our Grizzly PRIDE! Several fun events are planned this month to recognize those who exhibit our core values.
Let’s come together to keep the momentum going and show the community that GTMS is the best place to be!
With PRIDE,
Paula Junker

Veterans Day Celebration
On Monday, November 11th, 2024, GTMS is having a Veterans Day Ceremony to recognize veteran family members of our students. A presentation and breakfast at the GTMS cafetorium will be provided for those veterans that are able to attend. Their GTMS student/family member will be able to accompany them at the breakfast.
Please click the link below if you have a veteran family member and would like GTMS to recognize their service. A paper version of this form will be sent home with students. We are asking to please have this form submitted/returned by October 18, 2024. This allows us time to make sure we can recognize everyone for our presentation and get a head count for our attendees. Thank you for your support in helping us honor our community veterans.
Sincerely,
The GTMS Grizzly Family
GTMS Grads!
GTMS alum Officer Lamar Fisher, Class of 2015, stopped by to inspire our students and reconnect with staff. Modeling the core value of 'Respecting the Paw,' Officer Fisher continues to serve the Galloway community with a heart as big as his smile.
One of the best days for a principal is seeing former students accomplish their goals.
Connecting Internationally
GTMS was honored to host international visitors from Taiwan's National Chiayi University. They joined us for some classes as part of their mathematics studies through Stockton University. Always exciting to share and learn together across the globe!

Book Vending Machine Winners!
So excited to highlight several students who were nominated by their ELA teachers to receive a special coin for our Book Vending Machine! These students have shown a remarkable passion for reading. Some are always found with a book in hand, eagerly recommending titles to their teachers and peers, while others consistently demonstrate focus and enthusiasm during silent reading. From making daily trips to the library to taking books home for extra reading, these students exemplify a love of literature that we are proud to celebrate!

GTMS CORE VALUES
Do you know what it means to be a GTMS Grizzly?
At GTMS, being a Grizzly means more than just showing up to school—it’s about embodying our core values and “Respecting the Paw” in everything we do.
So, what does that look like?

Harassments, Intimidation & Bullying (HIB)
It is imperative that we continue to teach our students the effects that bullying has on others and a community. Every student deserves a safe and supportive learning environment, free from fear and harassment. Any instance of bullying should be promptly reported to the administration or staff member, who will take immediate and appropriate action to address the situation. By fostering a culture of kindness, empathy, and respect, we can create a school community where all students feel valued and accepted.
