Despite the rain, we had an amazing turnout with 32 in attendance! Lunch was catered by Streetcar Kitchen & Pub and included chicken marsala, garlic mashed potatoes, salad, breadstick, and a chocolate chip cookie for a little something sweet!
All those that were in attendance had an opportunity to win a hanging basket from The Green House. The lucky winner was Laura Nilsen with JET.
To add some additional fun to the meeting we also had a 50/50 drawing with Michelle Kilroy, Family Engagement Coordinator at Cloquet Public Schools winning $50.
Our guest speaker was Renee Prout with JET and she presented on the Talent Development Program. The program is business-driven funding assistance for qualifying Minnesota businesses to provide skills training to full-time permanent employees. The Talent Development Program offsets the employer costs up to $10,000 to train and upgrade the skills of current workers! All sizes of businesses are encouraged to apply and they can apply once per program year (July 1-June 30) with multiple trainings per application but cannot exceed a total of $10,000 per year.
