Tambark Creek Elementary principal newsletter.

From the Principal’s Desk – March 2026

Dear Tambark Creek Families,

Happy March! I am looking forward to seeing more sunshine and hearing the birds chirp — that’s how I know spring is approaching. This time of year, it always brings renewed energy to our school community, and I’m excited for all that’s ahead.

First, I want to sincerely thank our families for their participation in voting on the recent bond and levy. Our district is proud to have such a supportive community that values and invests in public education. Your partnership truly makes a difference for our students.

Thank you as well for consistently following our arrival and dismissal procedures. It is so important that everyone drops off and picks up students in designated areas. Your cooperation keeps traffic flowing smoothly and, most importantly, maintains a safe environment for all students and families.

I have noticed some middle school students riding electric scooters and bikes on campus during dismissal. Recently, one student was nearly struck by a bus. For everyone’s safety, electric scooters and bikes are not allowed on campus. Please speak with your older children about this expectation so we can prevent accidents and keep our campus safe.

I’m excited to share that TCE is participating in the SchoolStore program! This online fundraising platform allows our school to earn money without students selling items. SchoolStore partners with over 400 merchants, including Walmart, Best Buy, Kohl's, Old Navy and many more. When you shop online through http://www.schoolstore.com/ and select our school, up to 50% of your purchase can go directly back to TCE.

Participation is key in helping spread the word. Soon, your child will bring home a lanyard with instructions on how you can help by sending emails to friends and family. When you enter email addresses, you’ll receive a prize code for your child to return the next day for a small prize. Thank you in advance for supporting our school in this easy and impactful way!

This month, we have several grade-level field trips planned, as well as our PTSA’s Multicultural Night. This is always a wonderful celebration of diversity and richness within our community. Please consider volunteering for this amazing event and contact our PTSA board members as soon as possible if you’re interested. Our spring bookfair in March 26th and 27th.

We will also hold Parent/Teacher Conferences on March 30 and 31. On March 30, we will offer evening conference times to better accommodate families. Your child’s teacher will be sending additional information soon about how to sign up.

March is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month at TCE. Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and commitment to our students. Together, we are making a difference every day.

Warmly,

Mrs. O'Connor-Weaver

Attendance Matters!

Every minute of school time is valuable for your student's educational and social growth. Please make sure your kids are on time to line up with their class no later than 9:05 AM.

Why regular, on-time attendance is important:

1. Regular attendance allows children to benefit from participating in quality early education.

2. A habit of attendance IS a school readiness skill.

3. Good attendance reflects strong parent engagement.
