This year the school board voted to end school early due to the lack of hurricane days. Please see the attached schedule below. The following changes have been made to the schedule:

• Wednesday, May 20th students dismiss at 1:30PM
• Thursday, May 21st students dismiss at 1:30PM
• Friday, May 22nd: Last day for students; students dismiss at 1:30PM
• May 26th - May 28th: No School for students

FAST testing for Grades 3-6 will be held on May 5th, May 6th, and May 13th (5th Grade only). Please ensure your child comes to school well-rested, on time, and prepared to do their best on the test!

On designated days, parents/guardians can join their child in the courtyard for their assigned 30 minute lunch. The dates below are the assigned parent/guardian lunch days. Complete one survey PER CHILD for each lunch you plan to attend and include all adults that will be attending to make sure we have space. Click here to review the procedures and more information.

BPS is offering a variety of free Summer Enrichment Programs across the county during the month of June. Registration will opened Saturday, April 25th at 8:00AM. Registration for all camps will be completed through FOCUS under the FORMS Summary page. You will need to complete a registration form for each week of camp you wish for your child to attend. Save the date for our 4th Quarter Awards! Awards will be given to recognize students for academic achievement, perfect attendance, exhibiting STAR characteristics, growth, and excelling in activity areas. Students receiving an award will receive an invitation the week of May 11th.

Our Kindergarten and 6th Grade students will include their awards ceremony into their end of the year celebration. All Kindergarten and 6th grade families are invited to attend these events.

With many celebrations, birthdays, and other events quickly approaching, we want to remind all families that we do not allow balloons, flowers, or gifts for students into the classroom. We ask that you please save these items to celebrate with the student after school hours.

Challenger 7 will remain on the modified calendar for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Please see the attached board approved calendar for next school year. Students in Grades 1-6 will begin on Monday, July 20th. Students in Kindergarten will begin on Thursday, July 23rd.

With the earlier start to the school year, school supply shopping can sometimes feel hectic. This year, we are partnering with impacks to make the process easier for you. Scan the QR code below or visit https://shop.myimpacks.com/pages/school/challenger-7-elementary-school-cocoa-fl to review the school supply list for your child for next year. These lists are identical to our teacher supply lists, but you can edit the lists by adding or deleting items. All packs purchased by June 6th will be delivered to the school and waiting for your child when they arrive next school year. If you provide a $5 donation to our school during the checkout process, Impacks will match the $5 to additionally help support our school and C7 will receive $10. School supply lists will also be available on our website and in the front office for families who choose to shop on their own.

societal factors can significantly impact our mental well-being, sometimes even more than we

Let us help with your child's birthday celebration! For a $5 donation, you can have a birthday message posted to your child on our school's electronic sign for everyone to see. Forms and $5 exact cash must be submitted to the front office at least 1 week prior to your child's birthday. See the attached flyer for more information.

All birthday treats brought to school must be store bought. For student safety, homemade treats will not be distributed. Did you know our cafeteria can provide a variety of birthday treats for your child? See the order form below for options and pricing. All orders must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the event.
