Family Update
October 11, 2026
Good afternoon, families!
We hope you have been enjoying your weekend and managed to stay dry today! Hopefully just one more day and we will be in the clear... for a little anyway...
HHES LOVES VOLUNTEERS! Please check out the form below for upcoming training opportunities!
**Thank you to our volunteers who were able to support with last week's Lunch on the Lawn!
SAVE THE DATE: Our HHES Trunk or Treat Extravaganza will take place on Friday, October 30th. We are happily accepting candy donations to make this event SWEET! Please send any donations to the office and contact Mr. Bill Clouser at wlcouser@ccps.org if you would like to reserve a space to host a trunk!
October is National Bullying Prevention Month:
In our opinion, every month should be National Bullying Prevention Month! ParentGuidance.org has shared several resources to support families and students!
ALICE Drill and Parent Survey
This past Friday, HHES participated in our annual ALICE drill. Students learn to make decisions for themselves based on the information presented- such decisions support safety regardless of the location (school, home, in public, etc.). We ask families to complete the following survey after this drill has been completed. Please know information is completely anonymous. Thank you!
The Great ShakeOut!
Holly Hall will join millions of people worldwide participating in the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill this Thursday. Staff and students will practice the "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" drill.
The following links include a description and video explaining the Drop, Cover, and Hold On safety response;and other valuable resources available to assist you in conducting your drill.

🏆💙 Our House Fundraiser is well on its way! 💙🏆
Students love to pick House items from our Heron store or to receive swag at House events!
Remember, funds raised will help us purchase House swag for our students to show off their House pride throughout the school year! 🎉🏠

Happening Soon...
From the Judy Center:
The Holly Hall Judy Center Early Learning Hub supports families with children age birth through five, not yet enrolled in school within the Holly Hall Elementary School attendance area. We offer free programming including weekly family/child playgroups, monthly workshops and family engagement events. Additionally, we can connect families to resources including but not limited to food, shelter, medical insurance and more!
Do you have a child birth through age five and not yet enrolled in school? We would love to have you join our weekly playgroups. Our playgroups are one hour long with 45 minute intentional play and a 15 minute group activity. We always end with bubbles!
Please reach out to our Judy Center Staff for more information.
