Hello Hoover
D Week - 5, 6, 3, 4, 7, 1, 2
Dear Hawk Families,
I am very excited to see our students, faculty and staff back at Hoover Middle School on Tuesday. I sincerely hope you were safe during the storm. My thoughts and prayers are with families that were impacted by this event. I hope they can quickly recover and go back to their normal routines.
Even though our students missed four school days, our Thanksgiving break will remain the same. BPS will be closed from Monday, November 25 - Friday, November 29.
A few dates will have to be updated - and I will communicate the new dates with you via email.
1. Report cards published on Focus - TBD
2. Parent-Teacher Conference Night - TBD
Hawk Students of the Month - September
Congratulations to the following students, for earning this recognition. Hawk students are responsible, respectful and ready to learn. They were selected by teachers and/or administration. Each Hawk student will earn a certificate and other assorted treats! GO HAWKS!

Haunted Hoover
Haunted Hoover is part of our school's Halloween tradition! Here is a summary, for our new families:
Every Halloween, the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) organizes Haunted Hoover. This event consists of a haunted house, designed and built by NJHS students. This year, in addition to the haunted house, we will show a Halloween movie in the cafeteria, sell concessions and have a few carnival-like games on the bricks. All proceeds from this event, help NJHS buy and distribute Thanksgiving meals to those in need.
Haunted Hoover is NOT for Hoover students only. Students from other schools must be accompanied and leave the event with an adult. Hoover Middle School students without adult supervision must provide a signed parental form and must be picked up by an adult. No students will be allowed to leave this event without adult supervision.
Little ones are welcome! Our "actors" adjust the their acting to match the audience!
All Hoover Middle School students will be dismissed following the same process used during dance dismissals. Seventh graders will be picked up by the bus loop and eighth graders will be picked up by the music hallway. We will provide a map of the pick up process via email.
Tickets will go on sale soon!

WyldLife is open to all middle school students interested in living life to the full! Through friendship, fun, and faith, we invite you to join us Mondays* after school from 4:45-5:30 for WyldLife Club (lots of games, music, and laughter) and/or Campaigners (honest conversations and questions about faith). Wyldlife is led by authorized adult Volunteer Leaders who help students feel accepted and cared for. They do this by learning the names of their young friends, hearing their stories, honoring their God-given desire for a life of fun, adventure, and purpose, and connecting through games, laughs, and conversations.
*A detailed schedule for the Fall Semester will be shared soon!
This club will meet on Mondays, from 4:45 pm - 5:30 pm, starting on September 9, 2024. In addition to the Wyldlife permission form, students will also need to provide a signed BPS Parent Permission Form.
