Principal's Message
Welcome to October! As we settle into the rhythm of the school year, our teachers are eager to partner with you to support your childβs growth and success.
Goal-Setting Conferences Are Coming Up!
Please mark your calendars and make every effort to attend your childβs upcoming Goal-Setting Conference. These dedicated conversations are a vital touchpoint in our home-and-school partnership.
During your conference, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with your childβs teacher and learn about their current progress across three essential areas: academics, behavior & classroom habits, and social-emotional learning.
Check your email for more information sent directly from your classroom teacher. We strongly encourage full participation so we can align our efforts to support your child's journey this year.
Thank you for your continued dedication to our school community and your childβs education. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Time Off Work for School Activities
Did you know that California law protects your right to participate in your child's education? Under California Labor Code Section 230.8 (the Family-School Partnership Act), parents, guardians, and grandparents working for employers with 25 or more employees are eligible to take up to 40 hours of protected time off per calendar year (up to 8 hours per month) to participate in school activities, including parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings.
Be sure to provide reasonable advance notice to your employer if you plan to use this time to attend your conference.

Halloween Preparations
Please keep these District guidelines in mind when selecting Halloween costumes:
- Masks must be school friendly (allowed only during the parade, not in class)
- No weapons or replica weapons
- No blood or gore
- Must meet dress code guidelines
It is not our intent to complicate or interfere with creativity, but we must assure safety and a positive learning environment for the day. Thank you for your cooperation!
Around Campus
As we work together to keep our students safe during drop-off and pick-up, we need your help in being good neighbors to our surrounding community.
Recently, several neighbors have reached out regarding vehicles parked across and blocking their private driveways and, in some cases, with drivers leaving their cars unattended.
Never park across or block a driveway, even temporarily.
Stay with your vehicle if you are stopped in designated drop-off or pick-up lanes.
Keep driveway access completely clear at all times.
We are fortunate to have such a supportive neighborhood around our school, and treating our neighbors with courtesy and respect reflects the values we teach our students every day.
Thank you for your cooperation and for keeping our morning and afternoon traffic running smoothly and safely!
Becoming a member is quick and easy! Time and involvement is optional, but always welcome! By just joining and paying your $10 dues for the year, you are supporting the program.
By becoming a member you have voting rights, and membership dues fund school assemblies, art supplies, field trips, and family events. You also receive exclusive perks such as discounts on Legoland tickets, insurance, and organic produce delivery.
