ODE Tribal History/Shared History Feedback
The Oregon Department of Education’s Office of Indian Education has been working with the Region 16 Comprehensive Center to conduct research on the implementation of SB13, or the Tribal History/Shared History Initiative. We are conducting a survey to gather information that will help identify and inform the development of additional supports and resources that educators and administrators can leverage to improve implementation of the initiative. Your input and perspective are critical to this process.

Upcoming ODE Events
Teaching & Tech: AI in K-12 Classrooms
Join ODE and educators from around the state for the next Teaching and Tech Session on Thursday, June 1, from 4-5 p.m. Click here to register. This session will focus on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in K-12 classrooms. Given the influx of generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Bard, the majority of the conversation will focus specifically on generative AI. During the session, there will be opportunities to share promising practices, questions, and concerns regarding the use of generative AI in K-12 classrooms. Additionally, there will be space to share ideas and feedback with ODE staff specific to resources and professional learning opportunities that would be helpful in supporting the use of these technologies during the 2023-24 school year.
