C-I Preschool Welcome Letter

We are so excited for the start of a fantastic school year! Throughout summer, our Early Learning Team remained busy at many community events meeting and talking to families. We saw many of you out and about this summer! We have been very busy preparing for the start of a new school year, and will provide you with important information here, and in the coming days and weeks. If you are a returning family, we can't wait to see you! If you are a new family, we can't wait to meet you!

Teacher letters and information about the first days of school emailed to you the week of 8/24/26 (likely Thursday).

The email will contain information about:

Meet & Greet appointments

(meet the classroom staff in a small group setting)

First days of school

Other important school information, such as drop off & pick up procedures, family involvement etc.

Please note that the Cambridge and Isanti site lists are the same.

Scholarships are available! Please visit our website for more information and links to the applications. If you prefer to receive paper copies of the application materials, our office is happy to mail them to you—just contact us using the information provided at the bottom of this letter.

Important Reminder:
If you received a scholarship last year, please note that you must complete a new application and submit updated income verification in order to continue receiving scholarship support. Scholarships do not automatically renew.

Need help securing school supplies, backpacks, or outdoor gear for your child? Please don't hesitate to ask — we're here to help. Generous donors and local community businesses are stepping up to support Cambridge-Isanti students to kick off a great year. If you need support in getting resources for your family, please fill out this confidential form.

We Need You! Every volunteer contributes to the success of our learners and our staff. We have many volunteer opportunities throughout the school year { i.e. take home projects, classroom materials prep, making playdough etc} and more. Please watch for an email from our Volunteer Coordinators later this month with more information about volunteering at our schools. We greatly appreciate our volunteers and we are looking forward to seeing you soon!

Our school website and C-I Schools mobile app are going to be your go-to places for staying in the loop all year long! We'll be posting regularly with building updates, reminders, celebrations, and all the important information families need to know.

As we begin the new school year, we want to share an update about our school calendars. To ensure the digital information we provide on our website is accessible to all families and community members, our former printable, at-a-glance calendar is no longer posted on the district website.

Printed copies are still available at Back to School events, school main offices, and the Education Services Office.

Families can also find the most current school and district dates in the Events section of our websites and in the C-I Schools mobile app. Each school website includes building-specific events, while district-wide dates such as non-school days and holidays are also included.

To find your school calendar, visit c-ischools.org, select Schools, and choose your child’s school. If you are unable to find an event or information you are looking for, please feel free to reach out. We are always happy to help.
