End of Year Assessment Reports
Report Cards
Report Cards were posted in the Aspen Family Portal on Wednesday, June 17th.
As always, the standards listed on the report cards are grade-level standards that are taken directly from the Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks and explicitly state what students must know and be able to do.
DIBELS (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)
Paper copies of the report were sent home with your child on Wednesday, June 17th.
DIBELS is a literacy screener that helps us understand your child's reading development and it helps us guide our instruction. For more information: Andover Public Schools mCLASS Literacy Assessments
NWEA MAP Assessments (2nd - 5th Grade)
End-of-Year NWEA MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) assessment results are now available in the Aspen Parent Portal.
MAP assessments provide information about your child’s academic growth and achievement in reading and mathematics. Reviewing these results can help you better understand your child’s progress throughout the school year. You can find information about MAP testing and results using this link.
To access your child’s MAP results:
- Log in to the Aspen Parent Portal.
- Navigate to your child’s record.
- Select ‘Documents’ on the side tab to view NWEA/ MAP results.
Please refer to the attached guide for step-by-step instructions on accessing MAP reports in Aspen.

Physical Education weekly update!
Week of June 15th
This week, all the students went outside to enjoy the nice weather for stations! Equipment that students had the chance to use included a variety of outdoor games and activities such as balls and scoops, frisbees, lacrosse sticks, soccer balls, baseball gloves, footballs, ball poppers, and hula hoops.
Music weekly update!
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN MUSIC CLASS 6/15/26-6/17/26
K, 1 students are finishing out the year learning about the instruments of the orchestra. We discuss the 4 families: strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion. Students also have a great time watching the beloved “Bluey” as the show heavily incorporates classical music and features famous classical pieces and adapts compositions by Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven, just to name a few.
In grades 2, 3, and 4 students are busy with end of year testing and assessment on singing (matching pitch), rhythm (being able to read and play certain ones), and their general knowledge of our Orff instruments. (safety and care: how we remove the bars, hold the mallets, and play in the center of the bars)
Students also enjoy watching the show “Stomp Out Loud”, which demonstrates performers creating electrifying rhythms, dance, and visual comedy using everyday, non-traditional objects like trash cans, brooms, and even basketballs instead of standard musical instruments.
5th grade students had a fabulous performance of singing their songs at their celebration ceremony. Their singing was expressive, heartfelt, and joyful. Thank you for an amazing job. Wishing you all the best as you move forward to your middle school years.
Art weekly update!
June 17
K-5 students at Bancroft finished the year with a series of drawing projects inspired by the warm weather, sweet treats, and summer fun!
Library Media weekly update!
Last week of school!
Thank you all for a wonderful first year at Bancroft! It was an amazing year in the library. Students were able to express their creativity, tinker and experiment with building, conduct research, and of course read all of the books they love! This year there were 20,386 book check outs!! I hope you all continue to read this summer and I can’t wait to see you next year!
