Summer Reading Celebration (Ice Cream)

Did you keep track of the books you read this summer? Please turn in your reading log no later than this Friday, August 21st! Those students who turn in their reading log (NO required number of books), will be invited to the media center for ice cream the following Friday during lunch!

Read to Feed

"Read to Feed" money/donations are due to the media center no later than this Friday, August 21, if you participated in the program this summer. Those students who participated will be able to vote for the gift that we'll send to the people in need.

Big Changes in the Fiction Section

The fiction section of the library has been rearranged! The books are now grouped by genre. The chart below will show you the genres with examples of the books in each genre. Books are labeled with colored spine labels. The goal is to help you find similar books in your favorite genres...much easier!

Join the Library in Canvas

Everyone needs to join the "Library Media Center" in Canvas! This enables you to see announcements, receive newsletters, find out about upcoming events, and have access to resources that will help with your projects and research.

Destiny Online Catalog

Did you know that you can search the library's online catalog at home, on your phone, on your iPad--anywhere you have the internet? We are using the Universal Search this year, instead of Destiny Quest. I recommend adding the site to your home screen for easy access. You may login to your account to see when your books are due, place holds on books, and see your checkout history!

Go to destiny.clover.k12.sc.us and select "Clover Middle School."

Book Swap Coming Soon

I hope you all enjoyed the book you chose before Summer Break! We'll be having a Book Swap in the media center this fall where you'll be invited to swap that book (or another book you may have at home) for a different one! I'll be sending out more info soon!

Word Count Donut Breakfast Each Quarter

Those students who reach 500,000 words (each quarter) in Accelerated Reader will be rewarded with a donut breakfast in the media center! The first will be near the end of October. We also have door prize drawings after each breakfast!
