Falcon Update
Heritage Middle School-Week of November 24th.
Letter from the Principal/Carta de la directora
Dear HMS Families,
It was an honor to welcome so many families during Family Day. We appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedules to join us.
This past Friday and Saturday, our drama club put on an amazing show. Fairytale Misfits was a great production, and our students are so talented.
We have two more days for our food drive. Students are welcome to bring non-perishable items. Monday, we have our Cross Town Classic game. We will have snacks, raffles, and a 50/50 raffle, all of which will support the Fisher House Foundation.
Last week, we shared that improving attendance is a priority for us, and we’re beginning with two incentives throughout December. The first is a PBIS points incentive connected to our Holiday Extravaganza Store. We will be monitoring attendance from December 1st through December 12th. Students with perfect attendance during this period will earn 500 PBIS points, those with one absence will earn 250 points, and those with two absences will earn 100 points. The second incentive is that any student who comes to school during the Week of December 15th will get a cup of hot chocolate on Friday, December 19th.
We have school on Monday and Tuesday this upcoming week, and then we will be off Wednesday, November 26th, through Friday, November 28th, for the Thanksgiving holiday. We hope everyone has a great holiday and can spend time with their loved ones.
Thank you,
Michelle Hauer

Crosstown Classic
To help us accommodate everyone and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, we kindly ask players to limit the number of family members attending to 2–3 guests. If you plan to attend the Varsity game, we appreciate your understanding in leaving after the game to allow space for our JV fans. Likewise, we ask JV supporters to please wait until 5:30 PM to arrive for the JV game. There will be a $1 entry fee for all adult fans. Student fans may attend only if they have purchased a PBIS ticket.
We’ll also have raffles and concessions, with all proceeds going directly to support the Fisher House. Thank you so much for your understanding, cooperation, and school spirit. Let’s make this a fantastic event together as we celebrate our student-athletes and honor those who serve!

District 100 strives to ensure that all students and families feel safe, supported, and valued in our school communities. Purchase Friday spirit wear by using the link below.
Digital Agreement
Our school is excited to provide each student with an iPad to support learning both in and out of the classroom. In order to ensure that devices are used responsibly and remain in good condition, we ask families and students to review the Digital Agreement by filling out this Google Form.
PBIS Rewards
We utilize an app called PBIS Rewards where students earn points throughout the school year for being Responsible, Respectful and Safe. We have a PBIS store that we open for students to purchase fun items with their points. We also do raffles, field trips and a winter extravaganza that students can utilize their points throughout the year. We encourage students to use their points by the end of the year as they do not roll over!
StopIt
This week, students will download STOPit to their iPads. This is an online application that Heritage students have access to. This application allows students to anonymously report incidents of bullying, misconduct or general concerns. All reports go to the support service team and administration, which allows us to act quickly and in real time to any concerns or incidents.
Breakfast & Lunch
Students at Heritage receive free breakfast and lunch each day if they choose to participate, or they may bring their own lunch from home. As a healthy school, we ask that students do not bring pop, energy drinks, or large bags of snacks.
Breakfast will be served each morning before students head to their Period 1 class. Lunch will take place at the scheduled time according to the bell schedule, and students will also have the option to participate in recess during their lunchtime.
Below will be where you can find the menus for Heritage through OrganicLife.
