It's A Wonderful Time of the Year - Decorations Needed

Similar to our request at Halloween for Mums and Pumpkins, we could use some winter/holiday decorations. If you have snowmen, evergreens, poinsettias, battery operated white lights for the cafeteria and lobby... kindly help us get in the spirit of the season. Thanks!

Nauset App Help Page

Families should download the Nauset App to receive school updates, alerts, and messages. Please note: some people have mistakenly downloaded the Thrillshare App instead. The Thrillshare App is for staff only and does not allow families to log in. To help, we have created the Nauset App Help Page on the district website under the Students and Families tab. This page includes written guides and short tutorials to walk you through downloading and using the app. Visit the page here: Nauset App Help Page

Hello NRMS Families,

Happy December! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. We started the 2nd Trimester this week. We will soon publish report cards in the Aspen portal and will send out a reminder when the report cards are available to view. As we lean into this viral trend of 6 7, on the 67th day of the school year next week, many classroom teachers will ask students to reflect on their progress and growth and set some goals for the next 67 days of school. We encourage you to assist with these reflections by having conversations at home with your student. Once report cards are available, the grades can provide some data points for students to set growth goals for the second trimester.

Please remember to pick up your wreath on Saturday, December 6. Thank you to the PTO for organizing this important fundraiser. So far, we have about 80 eighth graders that are registered for the NYC trip. We believe that the cost of the trip is one barrier to having a higher rate of participation. In this time of holiday spirit and giving, please consider making a donation of any size to the NRMS Education Foundation. Your donation to the Education Foundation is tax deductible and a wonderful way to help us have funds in place to provide scholarships for class trips and support other activities at the school. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

We have updated the upcoming events list for December and January below. A number of fun events are on the horizon, including concerts, a movie night, spirit days, and more. Check out the full list below.

Have a great weekend.

8th Grade Class Trip to NYC - Register Today (New Trip Dates: May 27-29, 2026)

Just a friendly reminder to sign-up for the grade 8 class trip to New York City. We need a minimum of 80 students for this special event to happen, so complete the registration today.

There are two important steps to register your student for the Grade 8 NYC Trip:

Step 1: Enroll through our tour company partner Hummingbird Student Tours using this link. https://bit.ly/naunyc26trip

Step 2: Complete the NRMS Enrollment Google Form using this link: https://forms.gle/kpnhV7P8kv3irAwM6

It is important for you to enroll so that we can have an accurate count of the number of students that plan on attending the trip. As mentioned in the meeting please enroll even if you can't pay the initial deposit at this time. If, for whatever reason, you missed that meeting we are sharing a video recording (click here) that we encourage you to watch that explains a lot of the important information.

Also, there is trip insurance offered at an extra expense. If you are interested in that insurance please read the details carefully as there is a time frame that you need to sign up for after registering your student.

Please feel free to reach out to Mr. Peterson at petersonr@nausetschools.org with any questions.
