Dear Fairfax Families,
Thank you for all of your support last week! From our volunteers for the Columbus trip and Field Day and to all of the families who attended and supported Literacy Night, we had an amazing week filled with celebration and community.

Dismissal Reminder
As the weather improves, students using the playground after school must be with a parent or guardian. For safety reasons, students may not remain on campus unsupervised, as we do not provide after-school playground supervision.
๐ Kindergarten Readiness Bootcamp โ Spread the Word ๐
We are excited to share that the District will be offering a Kindergarten Readiness Bootcamp this summer for our incoming 2026โ2027 kindergarten students. This program is designed to help ease the transition into school and set our youngest learners up for success.
Program Details:
๐ Dates: June 10 โ July 16
(No school on June 19 or July 3)โฐ Time: 8:30 AM โ 11:30 AM
๐ Location: TBD
This program is intended for students who meet state eligibility requirements, and more information will be shared with families during kindergarten registration.
We are looking forward to supporting our incoming kindergarten students as they begin their school journey!
If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Martin at 216-320-2059.
๐ Field Trip Reminder ๐
Field trips are quickly approaching! Please ensure your child has a completed Permission and Acknowledgement Form (PAU) on file. Students without a completed form will not be able to attend. Additionally, students must meet behavioral expectations to participate in end-of-year incentives.
Transportation Changes Reminder
If you need to make a transportation change for your child, please adhere to the following procedures:
All transportation changes must be communicated to the school before 2:30 PM. Families may send a written note or call the school office.
- Any transportation changes requested after 2:30 PM may result in your child going home via their normal mode of transportation. The first and last hour of the school day are our busiest times, and this window allows staff adequate time to communicate the message and ensure your child is escorted to the correct location in the building.
- Please do not email transportation changes, as emails may not be seen in time or the recipient may be out of the office.
Transportation changes will not be accepted from students or siblings. All changes must come directly from a parent or guardian by contacting the office.
If transportation changes are discussed with your child via text or phone but the school has not been notified, your child will be dismissed using their normal mode of transportation.
These procedures are in place as a safety measure to ensure all students are dismissed safely and consistently. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
Meetings with Dr. Walker or Dr. Watson
To ensure that every family receives our full attention and privacy during discussions, we meet with parents by appointment only. If a parent drops in unexpectedly, we will offer the next available meeting time. This allows for a productive and confidential conversation without disrupting building, classroom or student responsibilities. Please schedule meetings with Dr. Watson or I with Ms. Turner.
Safe School Hotline
Our โsee something, say somethingโ policy applies to our school community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anyone can access the Safe School Helpline to report threats, bullying, or other such behavior. Call 1-800-4-1-VOICE (1-800-418-6423) ext. 359 to leave your information, or submit a report online.
