Thank you for all your donations for candy! Our academic night was a success because of your generous donations. HC staff would also like to thank you for your continued support of our monthly teacher treats! You all do not realize the smiles you are creating. Our staff looks forward to it every month and we need you to know how appreciative we are!

These students earned positive office referrals for having great character! Way to go!

UIL Practice will practice this week:

• Spanish Storytelling (2nd/3rd) will practice Tuesday mornings at 7:15 in room # 206.

• Chess Puzzles (2nd-5th) will practice Tuesday mornings at 7:15 in room # 407.
  

• Creative Writing (2nd) will practice Tuesday mornings at 7:15 in the Art Room.
  

• Ready Writing (3rd-5th) will be practice Tuesday mornings at 7:15 in room # 408.

• Storytelling (2nd/3rd) will practice Wednesday mornings at 7:15 in room # 212.
  

• Number Sense (4th/5th) will be practice Wednesday mornings at 7:15 in the Science Lab.
• Oral Reading (4th/5th) will practice Friday mornings at 7:15 in room # 411.

We are now in week 2 of Hood-Case Reads! This week we will read only three chapters due to Halloween. Please remember to turn in your raffle ticket to your frog bucket in the pod after answering the question. Also feel free to listen to the chapters on our website in both English and Spanish!

Week 6 of crazy 8s will be Monday, October 30th from 4-5 pm. Remember to bring a small snack to enjoy as you are waiting for the club to start. Last week we enjoyed learning to play the crazy 8s card game. Students loved getting their own deck of cards.
