News from Nurse Jen
Nurse Leah is back to her floating position within BPS. In order for promptness and consistency please send all health/medical related questions or concerns regarding Davis students to Nurse Jen at jennifer_capece@bedfordps.org. Or leave a voicemail at 781-918-4906.
A friendly Reminder: If you need to exempt your child from PE class for any given amount of time, you need to provide a note from your child's doctor.
Height and Weight Screenings starting soon!
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) requires public schools to measure the height and weight of students in grades 1, 4, 7, and 10 to calculate their Body Mass Index (BMI). The law is outlined in Massachusetts Regulations 105 CMR 200.500.
All first grade students will have heights and weights taken to calculate their BMI within the next few weeks.
If you would like to opt you child out of this screening please email me at jennifer_capece@bedfordps.org
