Hello, Hawks:

The weeks after Spring Break feel like they roll right past us while at the same time feel like the hour glass has been plugged and the sand isn't flowing through. Here's an example - I was talking to some juniors today who said the week went by really fast, but then remembered that we had to evacuate on Monday out into the rain. Yeah, that was THIS Monday! Anyway, hang on tight because you're going to blink and the school year will be over.

Spring is full of fun events and experiences in a high school - the next one? Prom! Tickets went on sale this week. The last day to submit guest forms and buy tickets is Friday, April 25, during second lunch. Do not wait until the last minute! Remember, all students must have permissions slips signed by parent/guardian because the venue is off-campus.

The first weekend of Spring Break, Renner James (12) and Lars Sarkinen (10), competed at SkillsUSA State. Lars came home with a State Championship in Plumbing and will have an opportunity to compete at Nationals. Congrats, Lars! A huge shoutout to their coaches, Mr. Eirik Huset and Mr. Steve Curtland, for their guidance.

Also, congratulations to our Hockinson High School artists who won some amazing awards at the Annual Southwest Washington Regional High School Award Show. You can read more about the awards and see a gallery of the work here.

Seniors and Families:

Please complete the attached scholarships survey for each scholarship you have been awarded.

All scholarship awards that are reported by noon on Wednesday, April 30th will be printed in our Senior Awards Program and will be distributed at the Awards Ceremony on June 4th.

Graduation is quickly approaching (too quickly)… We have many things to communicate regarding our Seniors so please take a minute to read through this email and continue to keep an eye out as there will be more to come. We are looking for a few things from you!

• Chaperones needed for grad night event – if you would like to sign up please email hhsgrads2025@gmail.com with your name, phone number, and email address.
• This will run from the time graduation is over until around 4AM
• Chaperones have a number of duties - including but not limited to - bus check in and out, watching a particular area at the event (rotating positions), clean up at the end of the night, prize hand out, etc. etc. (You do not have to ride the bus)

The band is selling plants! Order now and pickup your beautiful hanging or porch pots, veggie starts, and more, just in time for Mother’s Day!

Our benefit dinner and concert is sold out but please join us for our online silent auction. Bidding opens up 4/11 @ 5pm.

Our band competed at the LCRMEA Band Festival - they went, they conquered, they left :) Go Hawks!
