Thank you for contributing to our classroom!
Welcome!
Permanent links to resources we use regularly are provided on this page. Please take a moment to look over this page including the classroom disclosure linked below. It will hopefully provide useful information on classroom and academic expectations for the year. I update my "Weekly Updates" page every Monday. The link is provided above. This page will be updated with information about what we are doing in literacy.
I'm excited to have Mrs. Ammons team teaching with me this year. She will be teaching Literacy and Homeroom. You can access her information on her Smore page which is linked below my disclosure.

What Will We Be Studying This Year?
Math Curriculum Overview
We also use several tools to develop math fact fluency, including Flight Fluency through I Ready.
One of my favorite aspects of math class is our weekly math centers. This allows students to practice skills on their own level, and it allows me time to work with students in smaller groups to better assess their understanding of math concepts.
I Ready
I Ready is an online math platform that reinforces what students are learning in class. Students should complete 2 lessons (around 45 minutes) each week. Your student can access this resource at home through Clever.com. Login information for you student is provided in their student planners which should be taken to and from school and home each day.
I Ready also provides assessments which help us see how your student is progressing throughout the year. This shows us which skills your student may be missing, and allows us to create specific lessons to help them fill the gaps.
Frax
Frax is another great online resource which gives instruction on fractions. Starting in November, students will be required to complete three missions each week. We saw amazing improvement in our students' understanding of fractions after implementing this program a few years ago, and we're excited to introduce it to your student too!
This resource can also be accessed through Clever.com.
