Carpool: Please follow carpool rules and park in the rows provided. No cars should be moving until ALL children are in their cars. If you are parked next to the fence you should not be making a U-turn to leave quicker.

NEW: Pick up Patrol will now take absences, tardies, and change of dismissal after break starting on 2/24!!!

Many classrooms will be acknowledging Valentine's Day this week. For elementary students, this is the opportunity to recognize friendships. As a friendly reminder, if your child is participating in a Valentine's Day exchange, we want to make sure all members of the classroom community are included See more information below.

If you have not yet filled out our Equity Survey please take a few moments to do so. We want to to learn more about the Sanborn Community and ways that we can improve what we are doing. We have had a number of responses so far, but are really are hopeful that every family has a chance to fill it out. If you have not yet filled it out please do so below.

We continue to practice using appropriate tones and showing respect.

Ways Parents Can Practice Tone and Respect at Home:

  • Model calm and respectful communication when speaking with your child and others.

  • Encourage your child to notice and describe different tones they hear during conversations, shows, or stories.

  • Role-play scenarios with your child to practice using appropriate tones for various situations (e.g., talking to a teacher versus playing with friends).

  • Discuss how tone can change the meaning of a message and emphasize the importance of respectful speech.

Finally on Friday we will hold our Fun Run-Dance Glow Edition, which supports all field trips and enrichments.

Valentine's Day

In preparation for Valentine's Day, which is this Friday, February 14th, parents are reminded that Andover Public Schools does not allow children to distribute candy or other edible food treats to their classmates at school. This includes Valentine Cards that have prepackaged candy attached to them and applies even if the item is meant to be eaten outside of school.

Following this guidance is appreciated and will keep everyone safe and happy at school.

Please feel free to contact Mrs. Slattery with any questions at 978-247-9702

Equity Survey

To promote equity and belonging, we invite families to participate in our Equity Survey. Your feedback will help us better understand the diverse needs of our school community and guide our work. The survey is anonymous and takes just a few minutes to complete.
