Dear NRMS Parents,

We are excited to share that our 8th Grade Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 PM. This event will help support our students as they prepare for their New York City school trip.

Tickets are $15, and children under 5 eat free. Beginning February 12, 2026, 8th grade students will be selling tickets. A portion of each ticket sold will go directly toward reducing individual student trip costs, while another portion will support the NYC Trip Scholarship Fund to ensure all students have the opportunity to participate. Tickets will also be available at the door.

To make this event a success, we are asking for your support through both donations and volunteer assistance. We are currently seeking donations of:

  • Pasta

  • Pasta sauce

  • Rolls and garlic bread

  • Water and soda

  • Desserts

We are also looking for volunteers to help with setup, cooking, serving, and cleanup on the day of the event. Any time you can offer is greatly appreciated.

In addition to the dinner, we are thrilled to host our first-ever “Nauset’s Got Talent” talent show that same evening from 6:00–8:00 PM, featuring performances by both students and staff. Tickets for the talent show will be $5, and all proceeds will benefit the Field Trip Scholarship Fund.

Finally, we encourage you to look ahead to June and consider volunteering for the 8th Grade Dinner Dance. Traditionally, 7th grade parents “pay it forward” by chaperoning the dance so that when their child reaches 8th grade, they can fully enjoy this special milestone. The date for the dance will be announced in the coming weeks.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of our students and school community. If you are able to donate items or volunteer, please reach out - ptonrms@gmail.com - we truly appreciate your partnership in making these events memorable and successful.

Hello NRMS Families,

Often, the school vacation weeks arrive just at the right time. With the long, cold winter we have been experiencing, the cold & flu season has had an impact on so many of us. The February break provides us with an opportunity to rest and get healthy for the final four months of the school year.

We really need your help. Parents & guardians, please consider volunteering your time or making a donation to support our students. Here are some specific actions you can take that would make a positive impact.

1. Join the PTO.

Many of our current PTO members have students in Grade 8 and will be leaving at the end of the school year. We are looking to significantly increase the number of parents involved so we can contine to successfully sponsor fun events for our students.

2. Volunteer at the Spaghetti Dinner

On March 5 we will host a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser to support this year's 8th grade trip to New York City. The dinner will be followed by Nauset's Got Talent - a showcase of student talent. Please be sure to purchase your ticket and attend dinner and a show at the school. Please also consider donating some time to help prepare the dinner, serve, or assist with clean-up.

3. Make a donation to the NRMS Education Foundation or to the PTO.

Both of these organizations support our students. We currently have about $9000 in scholarship requests to allow all of our students to experience the many field trips that take place this spring. A donation of any size helps.

4. Join the NRMS Education Foundation

We need people that can spend some time helping us connect with local businesses so that we have a regular series of 11% club events. These events are easy to plan. We just need volunteers that can follow the playbook that outlines exactly how these events work. The time commitment will be minimal if we can put in place a small, but active group of team members.

5. Join the 8th Grade Dinner Dance Planning Committee

Typically, parents of current 7th graders take the lead in planning this special end of year event for our 8th graders.

If all of our parents and guardians can do one or more of the above, our school community will improve significantly as we become a force working to support the success of our students and ensuring that our students have amazing experiences while in middle school.

Thanks in advance for stepping up to help! Enjoy the break and be well.
