Dear Grandview Families,

We are looking forward to welcoming our students and families back for another great school year! As we prepare for the first day, we hope you'll join us for several upcoming events.

Start the month with Popsicles with the Principal on Friday, August 1, from 2:00–3:00 p.m. at Beach Park. It's a great opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet new families, and enjoy a cool treat before school begins.

Be sure to mark your calendars for the District Back to School Bash on Wednesday, August 13, at Ben Flora, and Grandview's Open House on Monday, August 18. These events are wonderful opportunities to get ready for a successful school year and connect with our Grandview community.

You'll find additional information about each event throughout this newsletter. We can't wait to see everyone soon and kick off another fantastic year at Grandview!

Bellevue Independent Schools now requires all primary household families to complete the Back-to-School Annual Update for every currently enrolled student.

Completing the Annual Update ensures that we have accurate, up-to-date information for your child for the upcoming school year, including:

• Emergency Contact Information – So we can reach you quickly with important school notifications, including weather-related closures, delays, and emergencies.

• Required Forms and Permissions – Complete release and consent forms for the 2026–2027 school year.
  
  

Who Needs to Complete the Annual Update?

A current student is any child who was actively enrolled in a Bellevue Independent School District school during the previous school year.

When and How to Complete the Annual Update

The 2026–2027 Annual Update is now open.

To complete your Annual Update:

1. Log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account.

2. Select Online Registration.

3. Click Existing Student Registration.

4. Complete the Annual Update for each currently enrolled student.

Need a Parent Portal Account?

If you do not have a Parent Portal account, please request one using the form below:

Once your request is submitted, our school secretary will email you your Parent Portal username and password. Please note that school secretaries will return to the office during the first week of August.

Bellevue's first day of school is right around the corner!

We can't wait to see all of our Tigers on August 19th.

Some reminders:

• Doors open for students at 7:30am
• Breakfast is served in the cafeteria between 7:30am - 7:50am.
• School starts promptly at 8:00am.
• We will dismiss at 2:00pm since it is a Wednesday.

Grandview staff will be on hand to help walk students to their classrooms, ease first-day jitters, and ensure everyone gets off to a great start!

Getting ready for the new school year? Good news: Grandview provides the basic school supplies your child will need throughout the year, so there's no need to purchase classroom supplies.

If you'd like, you may send your child with a backpack and a reusable water bottle.

We also gladly accept donations of facial tissues, disinfecting wipes, and hand sanitizer, but these donations are entirely optional and never expected.

If your family could use additional school supplies, the Newport American Legion will be hosting a School Supply Giveaway on Saturday, August 2, from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at 22 East 6th Street in Newport. Grandview students and their families are encouraged to attend while supplies last.

The transition back to school is exciting, but it can also bring a few first-day butterflies. A little preparation now can help your child feel confident, comfortable, and ready to learn from day one. Check out these simple tips to help your family start the school year off strong!

Want to be more involved but don't know how?

Check out the Grandview PTO! The first meeting will be at GES in the Library on September 2nd at 3:30pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
