Bedford METCO | October 2024| Week 10/28
Dear METCO Families,
As we prepare to “fall back” for Daylight Savings, we’d like to remind everyone to adjust your clocks accordingly to help ease the transition for your children’s sleep routines. A well-rested child is more focused, happier, and ready to learn each day!
In addition, we are halfway through our Boston Parent Meetings with the Superintendent. So far, we’ve had two productive sessions, and we’re looking forward to continuing these important conversations. Our next meeting this month is for Davis & Lane Families, so please be on the lookout for the Zoom invite. We can’t wait to connect and hear your valuable feedback!
Thank you for your continued support.

METCO, HQ/Inc News
METCO was thrilled to host its inaugural Hispanic Heritage Month Celebración at HQ at the end of the cultural observance month last week. Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15th to October 15th each year; this year, METCO honored the vibrant cultures, traditions, and contributions of our Hispanic and Latino communities with a fun night of Latino dancing and food. Participants ate delicious traditional Dominican food from local restaurant La Parada—including tostones (fried plantains) and pastelitos with a variety of fillings (savory stuffed pastries). Dante’s Salsa & Bachata, a local dance school, taught everyone how to do two traditional Latin dances, salsa and bachata, with a high energy series of lessons that got everyone up and moving. METCO HQ looks forward to honoring and celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month every year!
