Lockdown Next Week

Dear Farmington View Families, Next week, our school will conduct a lockdown drill. We cannot share the exact date and time of the drill. The purpose of a lockdown drill is to practice the response to an active threat inside our school. Staff will prepare students for the drill and support individual students as needed. We expect students to follow their teacher’s instructions, and remain quiet. The drill will end with a District official or School Resource Officer identifying themselves, unlocking each classroom with a key, and letting students and staff know that everything is clear and the drill has concluded. Learn more about safety drills and the Standard Response Protocol on our website. If you have questions, please contact me at Natasha Echeverria, 503-844-1735.

Thank you,

Mrs. Echeverria

Principal

Atentamente,

Mrs. Echeverria

SERVICES OFFERED FOR TALENTED AND GIFTED (TAG) STUDENTS

September is Attendance Awareness Month September is Attendance Awareness Month

Regular, on-time attendance is essential to students’ education. Too many absences - excused or unexcused - can keep students from succeeding in school and in life. Did you know that missing just two days of school per month means a student loses 10% of their instruction for the school year? Learn more about the importance of attendance, download an attendance tracker, and see support strategies on our website. Of course, attendance does not take priority over your health! If you are too sick for school, please stay home and access your work remotely until you are feeling better.
Absences add up - 9 or less is best!

Harlem Wizards!

Harlem Wizards will be in Hillsboro Oregon on October 2nd! They will be coming to our school to do an assembly with our students. You can buy tickets to see them that evening @ Century High School from 7pm - 9pm.
