Our School
i55 Book Fair | Hosted in ELC Playcourt
After the great success of last year’s Book Fair, we are thrilled to once again partner with I:55 during Read Across America Week! This event is a wonderful opportunity to highlight age appropriate, family friendly books while fostering a love of reading within our children and school community.
To make this special week a continued success, we need your help. Please consider volunteering your time to support the Book Fair, whether it’s helping students browse, managing sales, or assisting with cleanup. Best of all, a portion of all sales goes directly back to St. John’s, supporting our students and school programs. We need a few more volunteers for Front Counter help. Sign Up Here
Thank you for your continued support and generosity. Together, we can make this another meaningful and memorable event for our students!
Read Across America Week | March 2-6
We are excited to share that our inspiration this year has been drawn from libraries around the world! Throughout the week, students will be reading stories based on real people, celebrating the power of books.
Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will have the opportunity to participate in special dress up days that connect to the books being read. We hope this adds an extra layer of fun and engagement as we celebrate reading together.
Please remember that all dress-up attire should continue to follow our school dress code. There is absolutely no purchase necessary to participate. We encourage students to be creative and use items they already have at home.
We are looking forward to a wonderful week of stories, imagination, and inspiration!
St. John's Reading Log (Kindergarten - 8th grade)
With Read Across America Week just around the corner, we are excited to offer Kindergarten through 8th grade students the opportunity to maximize their reading time by participating in a Read-A-Thon!
Students have been given a reading time sheet to track their progress. Each entry has the date, minutes read, book title, and parent initials. This helps encourage accountability and celebrate the wonderful reading happening at home.
Important Deadline:
Reading logs are due to homeroom by Friday, March 6th at 8:30 a.m.
Please note that entries submitted after 8:30 a.m. cannot be counted.
Prizes:
Kindergarten–5th Grade: One winner from each class will have the opportunity to choose a book from our Book Fair to keep.
Middle School: Students will have the chance to earn a Dress Down Pass.
Thank you for supporting our students and helping us foster a love of reading. We can’t wait to see all the great books they explore during this special week!
