Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
As we welcome the month of March, we also welcome a season of renewal, growth, and new opportunities. Spring reminds us that progress often happens little by little, and that every small step forward matters.
This month, I want to recognize the incredible dedication of our students and families. Virtual learning takes commitment, structure, and perseverance—and you continue to rise to the challenge. Your hard work, resilience, and determination are what make our school community so special.
March is also a time to refocus on goals. Whether students are strengthening academic skills, preparing for assessments, or developing healthy routines, every effort counts. I encourage our learners to stay engaged, ask for help when needed, and continue striving for excellence.
To our families and staff, thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we are building a strong foundation for student success—academically, socially, and emotionally.

How long have you been doing online learning with the Virtual Academy? Six years
What is your favorite thing about the virtual learning program through KCSD? I like being able to work at my own pace. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment when I finish each week.
Hobbies and Activities you are involved in: I actively draw and sketch. I enjoy creating new
characters and stories with them. I’m also a gamer of sorts. PC games can be challenging and
fun.
Favorite Food: Right now I am huge on chicken fingers!
Fun Fact: I’ve been to Disney World twice and my favorite ride, Splash Mountain, is no longer there. It became Tiana's Bayou I believe.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
We're so excited to have our schools filled with students and teachers where we can all grow and learn together!
There is so much awesomeness that can be achieved when we're present at school. If something is getting in the way of your student coming to school, please reach out to your student's teacher, school counselor, district social worker, or school nurse. We want to make sure that your student is receiving whatever supports necessary to help them be successful.
REMNDER: As we start a new school year, excuses need to be turned in within 3 days of an absence. Use your school's attendance email to make sure that the excuse notes get turned in on time.
