As we approach Spring Break and prepare for the testing season that follows, we are excited for our students to showcase all they have learned. We had a fantastic start to Trimester 3, beginning this final stretch of the school year with a strong sense of renewal and enthusiasm to finish strong.
It was great to see our incoming 5th graders tour the building this week. Our student leaders did an amazing job welcoming them and sharing helpful information about what to expect at HMS.
We also have several fun and engaging events planned in the months ahead. As we move through this final trimester, our focus remains on finishing the year strong while continuing to create meaningful and enjoyable experiences for all of our students.

April 14 – PSAT for 8th Grade
Following Spring Break, 8th-grade students will complete a Student Readiness Check to prepare for the PSAT, which will take place on Tuesday, April 14. During the readiness check, students will receive their test tickets and be shown how to access the Bluebook practice test. Students may use this same ticket to complete a practice test in advance if they choose.
On test day, students will be provided with a snack during a scheduled break. Students may also bring a water bottle, which may be used during breaks.
In accordance with College Board requirements, cell phones are not permitted in the testing room. Students should leave their phones in their lockers. If a phone is brought into the testing room, it must be turned off and collected by the proctor at the start of testing. Phones will be returned once testing is complete (this is also the same policy for headphones, smart watches, etc.).
After testing, students will have lunch and resume their regular class schedule.

STAND News
Students Taking A New Direction
The STAND club participated in U-Matter Week and gave each student an
uplifting magnet for their lockers that they designed. They also provided
stickers and encouraged students during lunch to make a poster on “why
they matter”! It’s important to remind ourselves every day that,
“You are a piece to someone’s heart and you matter!”
