CSD Weekly Update: June 5 2026

Dear Centennial Community,
This past Wednesday, we had the privilege of celebrating the graduating Class of 2026 at William Tennent High School. It was a beautiful evening filled with pride, reflection, and hope as we honored a remarkable group of students who reached an important milestone in their lives. We are exceedingly proud of our graduates and excited to see the many ways they will contribute to their communities, professions, and the world around them.
While commencement rightfully centers on our students, it also provides an opportunity to recognize the many individuals whose guidance and encouragement helped make this moment possible. Every graduate who crossed the stage has a unique story, shaped by years of learning, growth, perseverance, and the collective efforts of countless people who believed in them. Families, teachers, support staff, administrators, coaches, mentors, and friends have each played an important role in helping our students reach this milestone. Though those roles may differ, together, they form a powerful foundation for student success.
As we celebrate our graduates, we also extend our deepest gratitude to our families. Your unwavering support, partnership, and commitment to your child's education has been instrumental in helping them achieve this accomplishment. The trust you place in Centennial, and the collaboration you provide throughout your child's educational journey, is deeply valued and sincerely appreciated.
I would also like to recognize the extraordinary dedication of our teachers and support staff. Every day, their compassion, expertise, and commitment to excellence create opportunities for students to learn, grow, and discover their potential. Their influence extends far beyond the classroom, helping to shape confident, capable young people who are prepared to pursue meaningful lives and make a positive impact on the world. The culture of care, learning, and service that exists throughout Centennial is a direct reflection of the remarkable people who serve our students each day.
To the members of the Class of 2026, congratulations! As you begin the next chapter of your journey, our hope is that you lead lives filled with purpose, integrity, and impact. May you pursue your aspirations with courage, embrace new opportunities with confidence, and make a lasting impact wherever life leads you.
To our returning students and families, we wish you a restful, safe, and enjoyable summer break. Thank you for a tremendous year of learning, growth, and achievement. It has been both an honor and a privilege to work with and serve this outstanding community.
With gratitude and best wishes,
Abram Lucabaugh, Ed.D.
Superintendent
Congratulations, Graduates! The Class of 2026 Bids Farewell to WTHS!
Wednesday marked an incredibly emotional and unforgettable milestone as the William Tennent High School Class of 2026 took their final steps out of the building they have called home for the last four years.
The energy in the hallways was absolutely unmatched. Moving from bittersweet tears to roaring cheers, our seniors celebrated the conclusion of their high school journey with the perfect mix of nostalgia and excitement.
A Legacy of Panther Pride
As they walked through the doors one last time, the entire community reflected on everything this remarkable group has achieved:
One final walk through the hallways that they filled with creativity, leadership, and spirit.
A lifetime of Panther Pride that will undoubtedly follow them into their next chapters.
Looking Ahead: While it is incredibly hard to say goodbye to the faces that have defined our school for the past four years, we know this class is more than ready to take on the world. Thank you, Class of 2026, for leaving such a positive and lasting legacy at WTHS. We are so proud of you!
From Reflections to Graduation: Celebrating the Class of 2026!
Tuesday night was all about looking back. On the eve of graduation, the William Tennent High School community gathered together for a beautiful annual tradition: the Night of Reflections. It was an incredibly special evening filled with laughter, fond memories, and celebration as we looked back at where our seniors started and honored just how far they have come. A massive thank you goes out to the administration, faculty, families, and students who worked together to make the night so unforgettable.
Celebrating Excellence: Klinger Middle School Awards Breakfast
Klinger Middle School recently hosted its annual Awards Breakfast, a wonderful morning tradition dedicated to honoring the outstanding achievements, hard work, and leadership of our incredible students.
Davis Safety Ceremony
Davis celebrated the service of our outgoing 5th grade safeties and inducted our new 4th grade safeties for next year. Thank you to Mr. Mahony for his leadership and organization of our amazing Davis safety program!
Big Steps for Little Feet: Kindergarten Recognition!
Our littlest learners are officially on the move! A huge congratulations goes out to the wonderful Kindergarten classes at McDonald Elementary, Davis Elementary, and Willow Dale Elementary on their recent Kindergarten Recognition celebrations. It was a joyous milestone filled with proud smiles, enthusiastic performances, and plenty of happy tears from families and staff alike as we celebrated a year of incredible growth, discovery, and new friendships.
We are so incredibly proud of our young scholars for mastering their ABCs, 123s, and everything in between. They have brought so much energy and curiosity to our hallways, and they are officially ready to take the big leap into first grade this upcoming fall! A heartfelt thank you to our amazing kindergarten teachers, support staff, and dedicated families for guiding and cheering on these students every step of the way. Watch out, first grade, here they come!
Davis and Klinger Collaborate on the First Grade Monster Project
Mrs. Felmey's 1st grade class at Davis Elementary coordinated with the 8th-grade Family Consumer Science class from Klinger Middle to write monster stories and have their monsters "come to life" through the 8th-grade students making them into monster stuffies based on each student's story.

Fun in the Sun: Celebrating the School Year with Field Day!
Nothing says the arrival of summer quite like the high-energy tradition of Field Day! Across our schools, students and staff traded in their Chromebooks for sneakers and headed outdoors for a spectacular day of games, friendly competition, and pure fun. From classic relay races and obstacle courses to creative team challenges, our fields were absolutely buzzing with incredible school spirit and sportsmanship. It wasn’t just the students having all the fun either—our fantastic staff members jumped right into the action, proving that a school community that plays together, stays together.
More than just a day of outdoor activities, Field Day served as the perfect celebration to highlight all the hard work, growth, and amazing memories of the past school year. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to unwind, cheer each other on, and celebrate the close of another fantastic year as a school family. A huge thank you goes out to our physical education teachers, staff, and volunteers who put in time to organize these events and keep the energy high all day long!
A Walk to Remember: WTHS Seniors Revisit Their Roots
As graduation approached, our William Tennent High School seniors took a truly heartwarming and nostalgic trip down memory lane. Donning their caps and gowns, the soon-to-be graduates participated in a cherished tradition, parading through the halls of the district's elementary and middle schools where their educational journeys first began.
It was a beautiful full-circle moment, filled with emotional reunions between seniors and their former teachers, as younger students lined the hallways to cheer, high-five, and celebrate the Class of 2026. This meaningful walk gave our seniors a chance to reflect on how far they have come, just as they prepare to turn the page to their next big chapter. A massive thank you goes out to all of the district's elementary and middle schools for opening your doors and giving our seniors such an unforgettable, enthusiastic welcome back!
Keystone Scholars Program
Power their dreams. Power their future.
Keystone Scholars provides a $100 scholarship to all children born to PA residents in 2019 and after. This scholarship can be used for your child’s post-high school training and education expenses.
Open a PA 529 to add your own savings for your child’s future education.
In addition to Keystone Scholars, PA 529 offers two tax-advantaged, flexible college and career savings plans. The more you save today the more your child will have for future educational costs.
- Get started with as little as $1 a month
- Use funds at eligible career schools, apprenticeships or college.
- Federal tax advantages have no expiration date
- Saving won't impact Pennsylvania state financial aid later
If a family saves just $25 per month with a PA 529 starting when their child is born, by the age of 18, the savings could grow to approximately $10,000.

Residency Information Review: The Importance of Keeping Student Records Accurate
Centennial School District is beginning a review of student residency records to ensure that the information we maintain for all enrolled students and families is accurate and up to date.
Accurate residency and contact information is essential for many important school operations, including timely family communication, transportation planning, emergency response, student records, and district reporting. Having the correct address and contact information on file helps us ensure families receive important updates and that we can reach a parent or guardian quickly, when needed.
As a public school district, Centennial is committed to serving all students who are entitled to attend our schools. At the same time, public education is supported by local and state funds, and the district has a responsibility to maintain accurate enrollment and residency records for students attending CSD schools, as well as for resident students who attend charter or cyber charter schools for which the district is fiscally responsible.
Over the next few months, the district will review residency information on file and compare it to publicly available information. Families whose address has changed are encouraged to update their residency information by contacting CSDregistration@centennialsd.org and providing updated proofs of residency.
If you move at any time, including a move within Centennial School District boundaries, you are required to update your address with the district. Changes to a student’s home address must be submitted through the registration office because updated proofs of residency are required.
Families may update phone numbers and email addresses directly in Skyward Family Access. Keeping this information current is also important so that schools can communicate quickly and effectively with families.
If a discrepancy is identified during the review process, the district will contact individual families directly to request updated information or documentation.
We appreciate our families’ cooperation in helping us maintain accurate records, support student safety, communicate effectively, and serve our school community responsibly.
