From the Desk of Principal Henderson

Dear Riley Parents, Guardians, and Scholars:

Happy Friday! We are now only 4 days away from Spring Break. Soon it will be April and we will be working on landing the plane. Landing the plane means that we are focusing hard on getting to the end of our journey together this year. Ensuring our grades are in order and that we are doing what is necessary to finish strong. I hope you all find time over Spring Break to rest and relax as we gear up and grind through the final two months of school.

The weather is changing and after we come back from Spring Break, we have a lot of things going on. It is important for scholars, staff and families to check their emails and our social medias to stay up to date and ensure that they are not missing anything important. We love celebrating our scholars and will share any and all information we can to make sure all stakeholders are involved and aware.

With the change in weather means that Spring sporting events will be starting. We have lots of students involved in Track, Baseball and Softball, Girls Tennis, Boys Golf and our new Boys Volleyball team. Good luck to all of our scholars this season as they compete wearing that Riley name on their jerseys.

WE WILL RAISE THE BAR AT RILEY!

I am looking forward to working with you and your student as we work toward an academically successful school year. I can promise you the best of myself for your students each and every day. Please do not hesitate to contact me at shenderson2@sbcsc.k12.in.us if you have any questions or concerns during the year.

Our Goals:

1) Get students reading on grade level

2) A 95% attendance rate

3) A 90% graduation rate

We greatly appreciate the value that each and every one of our scholars and families brings to Riley. WE ARE THE PRIDE OF THE SOUTHSIDE! WE ARE #RILEYSTRONG!

Sincerely,

Shawn Henderson
