Madison Middle School

Respect | Responsibility | Relationships
Welcome Back to the 2025 - 2026 School Year
For our new sixth graders, we’re especially excited to invite you to 6th Grade Family Night and our two-day WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) orientation program—both designed to help ease the transition to middle school and build early connections. For our returning 7th and 8th grade families, we are excited to have your students back, and we look forward to seeing you at back-to-school night and other events on campus.
Middle school can be a challenging time, not just for students, but for parents too as we watch our children become young adults. Our goal is to help them grow both academically, socially and emotionally as they make new friends, explore their interests and prepare for high school. We value and promote respect, responsibility, and making positive relationships, not just with our students, but with our families and community. So we thank you for trusting us with the opportunity to work with your students and help them have the best possible middle school experience we can provide. We are here for you—please don’t hesitate to reach out to our teachers, counselors and administrative team if you have ideas, questions, or concerns. Let’s make it a great year together!
Thank you,
Tom Berger
Principal

6th Grade: Thursday, August 7 from 8:30am to 11:30am.
Make up day for all grades: Thursday August 7 from 1pm to 3pm.
At registration, you will verify your address, take ID & yearbook picture, purchase PE clothes, purchase Chromebook insurance ($20) -- optional but highly recommended, meet counselors, learn about period zero opportunities, Boy's and Girl's club sports teams, and more.
We will have staff to support families needing assistance with data confirmation (in both English & Spanish) on campus during registration days.
Student Handbook Highlights
During data confirmation, you will be asked to acknowledge receiving a digital link to the Madison Student Handbook (English & Spanish). While there is a lot of information there, we would like to highlight three important sections: dress code, phone policy, and the tardy policy.
As you shop for back-to-school clothes, please ensure your students have appropriate school attire.
Middle school is a phone free environment to help students stay focused on academics and give them the freedom to socialize in person and in the moment. All phones and smart watches must be off and in backpacks. During the second week of school, we will be distributing Yondr pouches for student use, which is an expectation for those bringing devices.
School Hours: Monday: 10am - 3:35pm and Tuesday - Friday 9am - 3:35pm. Thank you for your efforts getting your students to school on time, and thank you for encouraging your students to be on time to all classes. Click HERE for our bell schedule.

Bikes & Skateboards
All students riding a bike (e-bike or pedal powered), a scooter, or a skateboard are required to complete an online safety training course or attend an in-person bike education class in order to ride to school. After completion of this course, a permit sticker will be sent to the campus where they will be able to pick it up. Read page 45 in our student handbook for more details. Click HERE for the Spanish version of the handbook.
Please plan to attend our on campus course on Wednesday, September 3 from 4pm to 5:30pm in the library. No need to sign up -- just show up! Or please click HERE for information about online courses that will take place on August 23, September 27, and October 25.
