We are excited to kick off our new Cami Ambassadors program at Canyon Creek! Twelve fifth-grade students have been selected to take on this special leadership role, and we look forward to growing the program in the years ahead!

Our Cami Ambassadors will help welcome students during morning arrival, assist with afternoon dismissal at the car line, and deliver dismissal changes from the office to classrooms each day at 3:30.

We are proud of these fifth graders for stepping up as leaders and helping make Canyon Creek an even better place to learn and grow!

We are excited to welcome our Canyon Creek families for Parent-Teacher Conferences this week, October 12–15! This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child's successes, discuss their progress, and work together to make this a great school year!

Teachers have shared their available conference times, and we look forward to visiting with you! Our Specials teachers and support staff are also available to meet. If you would like to schedule a time with them, please reach out by email.

A Few Friendly Reminders:

  • One conference per child. Families with shared custody are asked to attend the same conference time together.

  • Conferences are scheduled during designated conference days. If your family will be on vacation, please understand that teachers are not expected to schedule additional conferences on non-conference days, either in person or by phone.

  • Fall conferences are for parents/guardians only.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership! We are looking forward to connecting with you and celebrating all the wonderful things happening at Canyon Creek!

Costume Guidelines & Schedule Costume Guidelines & Schedule

There are lots of fun costume options out there! While your child may choose a scary or gory costume for Halloween night, these types of costumes are not appropriate for school. Please help your child use discretion when choosing a costume for our parade and parties.

For everyone’s safety and comfort at Canyon Creek, please avoid:

  • Costumes that appear bloody, gory, or violent

  • Weapons or look-alikes (e.g., toy guns, knives, spears, scythes) — leave these at home

  • Masks that circulate colored liquid must remain turned off while at school

If you have questions about costume choices, please check with Mrs. James.

Event Day Details (Friday, October 30)

  • Parade: 9:15 AM

    • Weather permitting, the parade will be outside on the playground.

    • Spectators may set up chairs in designated areas around the perimeter and in the center of the playground. Bring your camera and join us!

    • Inclement weather plan: Parade moves inside.

  • Classroom Parties: Immediately after the parade and end at 10:00 AM.

  • Room Parents: May go to classrooms to begin set-up at 8:55 AM.

Costumes at School

  • Students should arrive in costume.

  • They may stay in costume all day or change after the party.

  • Accessories will be stored in lockers after the party.

  • Parents who choose to dress up should follow the same guidelines as students.

Thanks for helping us keep the day fun, festive, and safe for all!
