Schools across District 41 are wrapping up the year with spring concerts featuring student performances in band, orchestra, and choir. These events showcased the skills students have developed throughout the year and reflected the strength of our music programs. There is one more performance tonight. Come hear the Hadley Chorus concert tonight at 7 p.m. in the auditorium!

Thank you to our music staff for their leadership and to all the families, staff, and volunteers who help make these performances possible.

District 41 is beyond grateful to accept the generous donation of a Steinway Grand Piano from Elizabeth Lewis and her family. This Steinway will be used by D41 students in music concerts for years to come. Thank you Ms. Lewis for the donation! A special thanks to D41 paraeducator Kim Bradley and Dr. David Bruno for coordinating this donation.

The Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center is thrilled to announce their new and exciting fundraiser - "Learn to Play Mahjong for a Cause!" If you are not familiar, mahjong is a Chinese tile-based game, typically played by four people, where players draw and discard tiles to create winning combinations. This game is rapidly increasing in popularity, and GECRC is thrilled to bring two 36-person beginner learning sessions taught by Missy Mahjong to the Glen Oak Country Club Paddle Hut on Wednesday, June 18.

The first session is from 1-4pm (doors open at 12:30) and the second is from 6-9pm (doors open at 5:30). Round up some friends and purchase a ticket today by CLICKING HERE for one of the sessions.

Tickets are $80 and include instruction, supplies, light bites and two drinks. Proceeds support the GECRC summer program. Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot soon!

Attention parents of GECRC students currently in Kindergarten through 7th grade! Please apply for the summer program today by clicking HERE! Program cost is free and the program is available to families that qualify. Transportation is provided! The GECRC Summer program takes place at Park View Elementary June 23 through July 30.
