As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we wish you a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable long weekend. We hope you have the opportunity to spend time with family and friends while also taking a moment to remember and honor those who have served our country. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday!

On Tuesday, Walpole High School seniors who once attended Elm Street School will return to Elm wearing their caps and gowns. Elm students and staff will line the sidewalks to celebrate and honor the graduates as they mark this exciting milestone in their educational journey.

One of the most popular days of the year is fast approaching: Big Truck Day on Tuesday, June 2. Each year the Walpole DPW and Parks Department park their bulldozers, skid steers, cranes, and other vehicles for our students to climb on and explore (they need reminders not to use the air horns!). This hands-on activity lends itself to our classroom discussions around transportation and community helpers. We look forward to a great day and thank the Town of Walpole for their generosity.

Our preschool "Field Day" is also a hit! This outdoor play day is filled with games, bubbles, music, and a LOT of water play! Your child's teacher will contact you with what to pack that day, but a towel is a certainty!

Spring Reminders Spring Reminders

As warmer temperatures approach, it is helpful to dress your student in layers. While the mornings can be cool, it is quickly starting to warm up! Also, sneakers and closed-toes shoes are best for running and jumping on the playground - please no flip flops as this is definitely a tripping hazard.

Finally, we are not allowed to apply sunscreen, big spray, etc. on your student. Please keep this in mind over these coming months - thank you.
