Weekly Update

Dear Families,

We are excited to see you at Parent/Teacher Conferences tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully you will get a chance to see all the exciting things going on here at Aquin! We would also like to welcome a new family to the Bulldog community. This week Christopher and Lillian R. joined our school in grades 4 and 1, respectively. We are so excited to get to know you and have you as part of our Aquin family!

The first week of our food drive has been great. Thank you to all who have donated. Mrs. Morrison and the Junior High students will be bringing the items to FACC each week, so that they can be used as quickly as needed. Week 2 information is listed below.

We still have openings in every grade level in the event you know someone that is looking for a change. Please have them go to our website to schedule a visit or contact Mr. Peyton Glawe at peyton.glawe@aquinschools.org or 815-235-3154.

Have a Great Weekend!

Mrs. Heitkamp

• November 11 - is Veterans Day. School is in session.

• November 26-28 is our Thanksgiving Holiday break. We still have school on Monday November 24 & Tuesday November 25, even though the Freeport District does not.

We are doing our food drive a little differently this year. We will be focusing on 2 "meals in a bag" per week. We will do this each week until Christmas break. You can either send the items for the meal, and we will pack it up or you can send it already in a bag. If you can't do a whole meal, no worries! We will take any and all donations. We will be bringing all these items to FACC's food pantry to be distributed here in the Freeport area.

If you are unable to donate items, please help us by sharing this on Facebook and other social media platforms. We can also print you fliers to distribute. Together we can help feed our local community during this upcoming holiday season.

A big thank you to A & A Build (Custom Playgrounds) for helping us with the installation of our playground equipment!

Please mark your calendars:

• Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025
• 5:45 PM
• Aquin Auditorium

The PreK-8th grade students will be performing this year's Christmas Program, "Sings with Us The Christmas Story." This year is going to have some new and exciting features!

The PreK students are going to sing three pieces at 5:45 before the show starts at 6. The main show will include the 7th and 8th graders this year, AND the preschool (for some songs.)

We hope to see you there! It's always a nice evening to start the season off right
