A message from the Principal.

Lobo Family

We have a short week this week...reminder no school on Friday, next Monday and Tuesday (11/2 & 11/3).

Halloween Costumes

Students will be allowed to wear Halloween costumes on Thursday, October 29th. Costumes must be school appropriate. Also, weapons (fake or real) and face coverings (mask) are not allowed.

Volunteer Hours

Reminder, one of the graduation requirements is for all students to have 40 hours of community service completed by the end of their Senior year. All students are required to go into school links to document their hours. There are videos in this newsletter that shows the students how to document their hours. There is also a video for parents to check on many hours their child has.

Attendance

The next two weeks are short weeks. Students are still expected to attend school every day.

Trunk or Treat

Please join us this Friday for our annual Trunk or Treat. This year, it will be held in the front of the campus. All parents/visitors will park at the auditorium.

Thank you for your support, I appreciate you sending your child to school every day!

If you have any additional questions, please click on this link questions for Mr. Cruz.

Thank you

James Cruz

Project Graduation

Hello Lobo Parents,

Project Graduation is excited to be a part of the Lobo Homecoming parade on October 14th. We'll be selling drinks during the parade to help raise funds for project graduation.

We are currently looking for parents and families who would like to volunteer their time to help with the booth, as well as those who may be able to donate items. We have a SignUpGenius available for booth volunteers and donations.

If you're interested in helping, please check out SignUpGenius and sign up where you can. Every volunteer and donation helps us get one step closer to making Project Grad a memorable celebration for our seniors!

If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to reach out to us.

Thank you for supporting our SENIORS and Project Graduation.

AP Exam Information...Please read if your child is in AP classes!

Dear Lehman High School AP Parent and Guardians,

Thank you for challenging your student with AP coursework this year. Research shows that students who complete college-level courses in high school, whether they be AP, Dual Credit, or Dual Enrollment (UT OnRamps) are twice as likely to persist in college. You’re doing a great job of supporting your student for the future.

Though the AP exams for the courses in which your student is currently enrolled are not until May 2027 (schedule here), the tests must be ordered in the fall**.

Parent Drop Off

Starting at 8:10am, the front entrance of the campus is for buses only. You can drop off in the front of campus BEFORE 8:10am. After 8:10am, you will need to drop off at the auditorium or behind the football field. Please do not let your child get off on Bunton Creek or drop off at the Dollar General. I received a phone call from the manager about students be dropped off in the morning at their store. Please refrain from dropping off at the Dollar General. Thank you.

To help the flow of traffic in the morning, if your child is not ready to get out of the vehicle, please park to allow other cars to exit the campus.

Parent Pick Up

Starting, Monday, August 24th, parent are allowed to park at the auditorium or at student parking while you are waiting for your child. I am hoping this will help with parents waiting to turn into the parking lot. We will still have an enter/exit only entrance.

Student IDs

Student safety remains our top priority. Please ensure your child wears their school ID at all times—they are required for security, lunch, and other services. Students are not allowed into the classroom without an ID badge.

Replacements after the 1st ID will be $5.00. We will check IDs first thing in the morning as this will be required to come into the building. If students do not have $5.00, the obligation will be documented as students need to have an ID on hand. School IDs must be worn with a lanyard displayed around the neck.

Please see Elizabeth Rodriguez (Elizabeth.Rodriguez@hayscisd.net) or Sylvia Alonso (Sylvia.Alonso@hayscisd.net) for ID questions.
