LISD Legislative Update

Dear Legislators,

We are off to a great start to the 2024-25 school year! I’ve had a lot of fun this week visiting campuses and seeing our awesome staff members and incredible students. I hope we can host you at one of our campuses soon, so you can see firsthand all the great things happening in our schools.

I always want to keep you informed when the district shares concerns with TEA or provides testimony for different legislative committees. Please take a second to review our letter to Commissioner Morath, and the written testimony provided to the House Public Education Committee.

I am grateful for your service to our communities and for your willingness to engage in discussion about issues that are important to LISD.
