New Advisers
12.1.25 Sales and Visual/Verbal Connections
This Week's Check List
- Huge Marketing Push- It's crunch time for sales. Use the social media posts and posters listed below. Consider customized marketing. Have coaches, sponsors, and booster clubs include your sales link in their communications. Post posters at the drop off/pickup locations. Hand out order forms in the pick up/drop off line.
- Tag Images on Pages-(See link below.)
- Check Pages for Overset Text- Look at PROOF tab in Online Design and look at the bottom right. If you have an Overset Text warning, check all text boxes. (See video below.)
- Plan Staff Christmas Party- White elephant gift exchanges, feast, secret Santa, cookie decorating and so many other options! Your staff needs to have fun outside of yearbook.
- Start A Recruiting Plan- Most schools start planning for next year's class schedule in January. Yes, it seems insanely early, but have students create a plan for recruiting next year's staff. (More of this soon.)
- Schedule Group Photo Pages- Get team photos from coaches. Schedule a day in December for all your club/group photos. (More on the process later.) Ask your photo company to come for a day or an afternoon to take these photos for you.

Visual Verb Connections (Make words match your photos)
Tagging Images
The image management tools in Yearbook 360 are designed to help improve your coverage and create an index. You can tag images to identify the students who appear in the photos. To avoid needing to merge student records later, it is recommended that you not tag until after the Portrait CD/DVD has been processed and uploaded to your account.
To view the full manual, click here.
To tag an image:
--Click Photos in the main navigation.
--If photos have been uploaded, you will see them organized by photo album under My Photos or Photo Albums areas. Scroll through the images and click to select an image you want to tag.
--The photo you selected will open in a new window, showing the image details screen in the Slideshow view. Click on the Add a student text field in the lower right corner.
--Type the name of the student that appears in the photo. As you type, matching names from your student list will populate and appear in a drop-down menu. When the correct name appears, click to select it. The name will appear in the window above, and the image is now tagged.

Flowing Portraits
Still haven't flowed your portraits on your pages? —it’s easier than it looks!
That said, it’s a good idea to contact Computer Support or your rep the first time. You should be getting your portrait files from your photo company soon.
⚠️ Don’t upload until retakes are complete. Some photo companies send updated links after each photo day.
Here are the next steps after photos are uploaded to your Portraits section in Online Design.
