Hi Rangers!

Testing is finished! We are now truly in the home stretch to the end of the year.

This week will be a busy one so make sure to review the Important Dates below.

If you are interested in volunteering, please check out the PTA newsletter or website. There are upcoming opportunities to help with the PTA. They will host a cookout for teacher appreciation on Friday, May 12th. As well as helping with the 8th grade formal May 12th. There are opportunities to help with the upcoming APEX Color Games May 19th. PTA will also host a general meeting Tuesday, May 9th at 6:30 pm in the DMS cafeteria.

Tomorrow night, PTA is hosting Spirit Night at Urban Air Adventure Park, 4 - 8.

We also have Theatre, Soccer, Choir, and Band this week! There are lots of opportunities to see our students excel and show off what they've learned this year. We hope to see you there!

Also important this week is our Student Chromebook Inventory through Science classes, Monday through Wednesday. Please ensure your student brings their chromebook and charger each day this week.

Finally, it is Teacher Appreciation Week! We absolutely love our teachers! They put in long hours of hard work and loving care to ensure our students are successful. If you and your student get a chance, a thank you is always appreciated!

On Saturday April 29th, all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Deerpark Middle School Band students competed in our own in-house Solo & Ensemble contest. Performing a variety of solo and small-group "chamber music" compositions, students were assessed and evaluated in terms of their lyrical and technical abilities, stage-presence, and overall musicianship for panels of music judges from throughout Round Rock ISD.

We are proud to announce that of the 210 individually-adjudicated events that day, 186 of these Deerpark events received "Superior" Division I ratings Congratulations to these students!
