Congratulations to Khloe Kerner as she was selected by state judges to attend Junior Honor Choir last week in Sioux Falls.

Staff and students enjoyed the Quarter 2 assembly last week! Especially when the staff got participate in Hungry, Hungry Stallions! Red team is currently leading the way!

The lost and found table is getting full again. Please have your student check it to make sure they are not missing anything. We will clean off and donate all items left on the table Wednesday, January 31.

St. Francis of Assisi Knights of Columbus

Hosts Local Free Throw Championship

STURGIS, SD – The St. Francis of Assisi Knights of Columbus council is holding their annual “Free Throw Championship” on Sunday, Jan. 28 at 4pm at the Main Street Armory in Sturgis.

Boys and girls, ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition and will compete in their respective age divisions. Participants shoot 15 free throws in the local competition and winners will progress to the district and state competitions.

All participants are required to provide proof of age and written parental consent. If you have any questions, call Eric Fowler at 605-490-3372.

UPCOMING HEARING SCREENING NOTIFICATION

The South Dakota Services for the Deaf (SDSD) will conduct free hearing screenings at our schools: PVE grades JK, K, 1, 2 & 3 and Stagebarn grades 5 & 7.

THIS YEAR, HEARING SCREENINGS WILL TAKE PLACE ON:

Feb 21st at Piedmont Elementary & Feb 22nd at Stagebarn Middle School

If your child does not pass the hearing screening, our school will contact you with the results. Rescreens or further testing can be completed at no charge, with the pediatric audiologist at:

If you do NOT want your child to participate in the hearing screening, please contact your child’s school prior to the date listed above, or your child will be included as planned.

If you have hearing concerns about a student that is not in the grades scheduled to be screened, please contact the school nurse at:

If you are dropping your student off after 7:45 AM, please call or bring your student to the office. If we do not hear from a parent/guardian, your student will be marked Tardy or Unexcused.

If you are picking up your student early for an appointment and would like us to have them ready for you, please call the office when you are on your way to the school and we will call them down for you!

When a student is picked up prior to dismissal time, a parent/guardian must sign them out through the office.

ID may be requested at secretaries discretion.

If your student is NOT riding their primary bus, they will need to bring a note to the front office at the school prior to riding!

If your student misses school, this is a great place to check on work that they have missed.
