Tripp Tiger Talk
5/10/26
As we celebrate Mother’s Day, I want to take a moment to recognize and honor all of the incredible people who love, nurture, guide, and care for the children of Tripp School. Whether you are a mom, grandmother, aunt, foster parent, guardian, stepmom, or another special person in a child’s life, today we celebrate you.
Thank you for all you do each and every day to raise such amazing children. Your love, patience, encouragement, and sacrifices do not go unnoticed. Raising children is one of the most rewarding and often one of the hardest jobs in the world, and it certainly does not come with an instruction manual.
We are grateful for the partnership, support, and care you pour into our students and our school community. On behalf of all of us at Tripp School, we hope your day was filled with love, appreciation, and joy. Happy Mother’s Day!
Library Books
As the school year is drawing to a close, we kindly remind you that all school library books and materials need to be returned by Friday, May 29, 2026. The last day to check out books from the library is May 22, 2026. PICTURE
Magnetic Literacy Update
This semester, our school has been piloting Magnetic Literacy, a comprehensive reading program designed to engage students with high-quality texts and evidence-based instruction. Based on the pilot’s success, we are pleased to announce that we will fully implement Curriculum Associate’s Magnetic Literacy across all 1st-5th grade classrooms starting in the fall.
To help us measure the impact of this new curriculum and ensure we are meeting every student's needs, our students will participate in Curriculum Associate’s partner assessment tool, i-Ready this spring. The data gathered from this assessment allows us to measure the progress students have made in their reading skills over the course of the year, helps teachers tailor their daily lessons and provides concrete data on how Magnetic Literacy is supporting our students' development. With our full implementation of the resources in the fall, we will begin sending home parent assessment reports following each assessment window. These reports offer clear, actionable insights into your child’s reading levels and specific areas where they are excelling or may need extra support.
We are incredibly excited about these new literacy resources and the impact they are having on our students' curiosity and skills. Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's educational journey.
