- Dress code is strictly enforced. Please see the 2025-2026 Student Handbook for our dress code policy.
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Please watch the video below on our arrival/dismissal procedures. A few important things:
1. Please wait to drop your child off until 7:30am. Students are not allowed to wait outside the building before 7:30am. They must remain in vehicles.
2. Please be patient with us the first week! Things tend to run a little slower, but with time...we will make sure your child is safely and efficiently dropped off and picked up from school. 🤗

Behavior Expectations at East End Middle
At EEM, it is important that we have a safe, orderly, and caring environment. When our students feel safe and procedures are in place to ensure the building is orderly, students can learn to their maximum potential. We follow the SSD Student Handbook (please see link below). We expect our students to be a BOSS at EEM, and we will hold our students accountable for those expectations! Thank you for partnering with us to ensure EEM is a safe, loving school where your child can truly succeed.

Nurse's Corner
Welcome back to school! I hope everyone enjoyed their summer break. If your child will be taking meds at school, a parent/guardian needs to bring the medications to the nurse. Meds from students will not be accepted. Also please be prepared to spend some time in the nurse’s office: signing forms and med consents and counting meds. Thank you!
The Reminders:
Parents/guardians this first time dropping off your student’s meds with the nurse will take some time: forms and consents need to be signed and meds need to be counted.
Please make sure your child is up to date on immunizations or that their exemption is up to date. Exemptions need to be renewed every new school year. If you’re not sure about your child’s status, please don’t hesitate to contact the school nurse.
If your child has a health condition, please inform the school nurse. We want to keep all our students safe and make sure they are receiving proper care while at school.
If your child needs a check-up, immunizations, or is feeling ill our Jacket Health and Wellness Clinic is convenient and quick. For more information click the link Jacket Health or call (870) 484-4411 to set up an appointment.
Please keep your child at home if they have a fever, vomiting, or have diarrhea. Students must be 24 hrs without fever or symptoms in order to return to school. Please also let attendance or the school nurse know.
The Sheridan School District is a peanut/tree nut free district. Please do not send or allow your child to bring food items into the school that contain peanuts, peanut products, or tree nuts. This information will be found on the label under ingredients. Due to continual changes in manufacturer packaging and processing, please read the ingredient label to ensure that it does not contain any of the following: peanuts/ nuts, peanut/nut butter, peanut/nut oil, peanut/nut flour, peanut/nut meal, or any of the statements “may contain traces of peanut/nuts.” (M&M’s, Butterfinger).
Parents, be on the lookout for head lice and remind students not to share combs/brushes or clothing items.
Thank you and please contact me with any questions or concerns.
