THE BEAR ESSENTIALS
2026/2027 Back to School Issue
Dear Bear Families,
We want to take the opportunity to officially welcome all of our Bear Families to the 2026-2027 school year at Roosevelt High School. We are so excited to welcome our students back into the building for an empowering year of learning.
This newsletter contains all of the information that our families need for the upcoming school year. You will find the dates, times, and details for all beginning-of-the-year events.
To be most efficient in our communication with each other, it is extremely important that each family updates the student contact information within Parent Connection. Details and directions on how to do this are below.
We want to offer a special greeting to our new families at RHS this year. The Bear Essentials newsletter is our weekly communication to our students and parents. This newsletter will be in your email inbox by dinnertime each Friday, once the school year begins. We'll occasionally send other communications, but we'll make this your one weekly email. Checking this newsletter each weekend is the best way to stay in the loop about what is going on at RHS. We email this newsletter to students as well, and hope you can encourage your student to check their inbox too.
We are looking forward to seeing our students back in the building later this month, and we hope to meet our Bear families at Back to School Night on September 1. Enjoy your last few weeks of summer!
Go Bears!
Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Hickey, Mrs. Bukosky, and Mr. Schley
