AES Monthly Update

Brief Message From the Principal
The students are really starting to internalize their routines and transitions! We are all settling in nicely for the school year. I have a few tips for you to help us make the school year a hit:
Parent Teacher Conferences:
1. Please come to these. These are so informative about your student and they help us to learn more about your child's needs as well.
2. Make sure you have your email correct in TeacherEase. Teachers will be emailing out conference times based on that email address- I've noticed some missing emails in my own communication! :)
Drop Off:
1. Make sure parents stay in the car in the drop off line.
2. Kids should exit the car on the side CLOSEST to the building.
3. Parents, if you need to exit the car- please park in the visitor parking.
4. Make sure to pull all the way forward- even on Fridays! :)
5. Stay SAFE. These rules are to keep our students from being injured during drop off!
Pick Up:
1. Please pull all the way forward so we can load as many students as we can!!
2. Make sure students enter your vehicle quickly and safely, but do NOT run.
3. Have your number ready for Miss Jill to enter!
4. Caregivers, please stay in your vehicles (PreK-6th Grade). We will help your child get to you!
5. Please do not park across the street and cross traffic to get your student!
My last October tip- have fun with your students this month and encourage them to come to school! Sickness and fatigue can settle in during the October months, but we will be here ready to learn each day and we hope they are too! :)
Happy October!
- Mrs. Brewer

September's attendance challenge was by grade level! Every grade level met their goal of 92% and actually well exceeded it! Great job students and caregivers! Students will receive popsicles at recess on October 9th.
October's challenge is for each grade level to reach 96%! The reward is a BIG ONE-- An Extra Recess!
Most classes reached 95% in September. Remember: October is the start of cold and flu season- students are more than welcome to be at school as long as they are fever/diarrhea/vomiting free for 24 hours without medicine!
