Student Intent to Return: Student Intent to Return:

Dear Parent/Guardian,

As we are currently in our open enrollment season, this is a reminder that completing this step is required to hold and guarantee your student's sport for the upcoming school year.

We encourage you to complete this as soon as possible to ensure your student's enrollment is secured, as spots are limited and may fill quickly.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Thank you,

Mrs. Estrada

Summer Flight Program: Summer Flight Program:

PTAA Parents,

We are excited to share that our Flight Crew Summer Academy will be offered this summer through the Additional Days School Year program.

This program is designed to support students in Kindergarten through 6th grade by providing additional learning time in a positive, structured, and engaging environment where students can grow academically and build confidence.

Each day, students will receive focused instruction in reading and mathematics in the morning, followed by afternoon enrichment opportunities in fine arts, STEAM, and physical education. Our goal is to make learning both meaningful and enjoyable for every child.

The program will run from June 1 through July 10, with daily hours from 7:45 AM to 2:30 PM. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participating students.

Students will also take part in Fun Fridays, which include team activities, themed days, and special experiences designed to keep students excited and connected throughout the summer.

Students are invited based on academic data, so we can provide additional support where it is needed most. If your child is selected, your campus will reach out with the next steps and additional information.

If you have any questions, please contact your campus administrator. We are grateful for your continued partnership and the opportunity to support your child’s success.

Dr. Derrick Love
Chief Academic Officer

Senior Class Update: Senior Class Update:

Due to limited participation in the submission of Adopt-A-Senior forms(from the senior students), we will unfortunately not be able to participate in this event on campus this year. This initiative was designed as an all-or-nothing event for the Class of 2026, and without full participation, we are unable to move forward as planned.

That said, we are still committed to celebrating our seniors and ensuring they receive a meaningful parting gift following Senior Breakfast. In place of the Adopt-A-Senior event, we will be creating Senior Gift Bags for the entire senior class (approximately 40 students).

If you would like to support this effort, there are two ways to contribute:

Monetary Donations: Funds will be used to purchase items for the senior gift bags. Please reach out to the Senior Sponsor, Mrs. Guzman, at dfouseguzman@ptaa.org if you are interested in donating.

Physical Donations: If you prefer to donate items, we kindly ask that you provide one item per gift bag, for a total of 40 items, to ensure every senior receives the same gift.

All donations should be sent to the campus no later than May 1st to allow sufficient time for purchasing remaining items and assembling the gift bags.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and continued dedication to making our seniors feel celebrated as they prepare for their next chapter. We look forward to gifting our seniors something special to mark this important milestone.

Revised School Calendar: Revised School Calendar:

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your continued support of our school and staff.

I’m excited to share that PTAA has been awarded the Additional Days School Year (ADSY) Grant, which requires districts to provide 175 instructional days (not instructional minutes). Our original calendar included 169 instructional days, so we added six days to remain in compliance.

The Board of Directors has reviewed, approved, and adopted the revised 2025–2026 school calendar, which will be posted on the district website today.

Please note the following important updates:

January 6th, February 6th, February 16th, and May 8th will now be full instructional days for both students and staff.

Updated copies will be available online today for download and reference.

With appreciation,

Naomi Estrada

✂️📄 PTO Copy & Prep Help for Teachers! 📄✂️

Teachers, we know how much time copying, stapling, cutting, and sorting can take — and we want to help! 💙🐾

PTO has set up a Parent Volunteer Workstation in the staff workroom downstairs (pictured below). Here’s how it works:

👉 Place your items that need copying, stapling, cutting, or sorting in the tray on the LEFT with a sticky note explaining the task.

👉 Parent volunteers will complete it for you.

👉 Finished work will be placed in your staff inbox, ready to go by the following day! 🎉

We hope this lightens your load and gives you a little more time back in your day. Thank you for everything you do for our Panthers! ✨

Traffic Flow: Traffic Flow:

Hello PTAA Families:

First and foremost, the safety of your children is our number one priority at all times. These procedures will help to ensure for a safe drop off for all students in the Elementary line.

Please do not park in the fire lane in front of the school. Cars will be ticketed if you are blocking the fire lane. Please utilize the drop off lanes or park in a spot and walk your child into the office.

1. Please wait for a staff member to come to your vehicle before letting your child out. If the staff does not come to your car, please wait until the next group to let out. This is the most dangerous situation we are currently experiencing. Please do not get out of your cars in the pickup lane, that creates a safety issue.

2. Please pull all the way to the stop sign if you are in the front of the group. All vehicles need to wait until the staff member changes the sign to slow.

3. The staff is there to ensure your child's safety and to help them begin a great day at school. Please treat them with respect. We understand waiting in the line is not ideal, but we value your child's safety over any other concern.

4. Please remain off your phones while in the drop off line, especially while driving. Distracted driving is not safe driving. Please remember that using a cell phone without hands free devices is against Texas State Law.

Secondary drop off line:

1. Please wait until all children are out of the drop off area before you pull away. Some cars are not waiting for their student to enter the building and they are making the drop off line very unsafe.

Library Permission Form:

Please ensure you have filled out a Library Registration Form for your student. We will only be able to check books out to students with a form filled out. We need one for every school year, so even if you filled one out last year, please follow the link below to fill one out for this year. PTO is excited to be able to provide a library at the school for our students, and we don't want anyone to not be able to take advantage of it.
