Here at school, we are busy learning about Kindness and the importance of showing friendliness, cooperation, and helpfullness in our community! Learning happens best when it is done both at school and at home. This month classroom teachers are placing special emphasis on modeling, explaining, and guiding students to understand how to demonstrate kindness. Each teacher will be selecting 1 student to be recognized for showing examplary kindness to be recongized at our Monday Assembly at the end of the month.

The Walteria STEAM Fair is back! Please click on the above flyer to learn about the types of projects your child can submit. The Watleria STEAM Fair is happening on February 15 from 3:15 - 4:30.

The Innovation Convention is coming in March 2024.

Open to all students TK-12th Grade.

2024-2025 TK and Kindergarten Enrollment Information

Evening Parent Informational Session: February 8, 2024, 5:30 - 7:00p.m. @ South High School Auditorium

Enrollment begins February 26, 2024

• Kindergarten is for students with Dates of Birth 09/02/2018 to 09/01/2019
• Transitional Kindergarten is for students with Dates of Birth 09/02/2019 to 06/02/2020
• If your child is currently enrolled in a TUSD TK class, you do not need to re-enroll your child for Kindergarten

Prospective TK/K Parent Tours

February 9 / March 8 / April 12 / May 10: 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

• Reservations are not required.
• Please bring a government issued ID to be scanned to receive a visitors badge to take part in the tour.

On Wednesday, January 24, the 5th Grade Parent Reflections Committee is holding a restaurant fundraiser at Taps Society Brews and Bites. It is from 12pm - 9pm and 15% of the proceeds will go to support the 5th Grade Reflections ceremony and end of year activities. All are welcome to support and not just 5th grade families. When you order, please drop your receipt in the box provided at the checkout station to ensure we get credit for the sale. This event is hosted by the parents of the 5th grade Reflections Committee.

Seeking PTA Board Positions! Please consider nominating yourself or others interested in serving on the PTA Board. PTA is a great way to support the students and teachers at Walteria. We are using a new company, Treering, this year! Treering has some great perks including hard cover yearbooks and personalized yearbook pages that only show up in your personal yearbook! See attached flyers to order and to design your personalized pages! We are collecting photos for the yearbook. Please submit photos for all fall events by 1/31/2024.

The time to purchase the yearbook has come! Please follow the instructions to purchase your yearbook. You are also able to design and customize 2 special pages that will be printed in your unique yearbook! A hard cover option is also available.
