All classes with a waitlist will have a lottery.
Students who are placed in a program will be notified via the email provided in the application to Cascadia Tech Academy. Students who are waitlisted will also be notified by email. If a spot becomes available in your first or second choice program, you will be informed by email.

Purpose of Cascadia Tech’s Summer Programs:
Short-term specialized training programs designed for students who have not had the opportunity to attend Cascadia Tech because of scheduling conflicts.
Introductory training for students entering Cascadia Tech programs in the fall as well as introductions to CTE for future students to explore different career options.
Additional training and reinforcement for students presently enrolled in Cascadia programs.
The skills you learn at Cascadia Tech can pay off in a better job later or help you discover an area in which you excel.
High School Credit: Students can earn 0.5 high school CTE or elective credit for successful completion of a summer school class. Some classes can receive academic credit, noted in course descriptions. Good attendance is very important; therefore, you may want to plan your vacations accordingly. Missing more than 3 days will result in no credit.
Who is Eligible? The Cascadia Technical Academy summer school program is available to students who have completed the 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade in the previous year. All students (including home and private school) must be current residents within the following school districts: Battle Ground, Camas, ESD 112, Evergreen, Hockinson, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, or Woodland.
Certificated Staff
We are hiring an instructor for Forest Management. All applicants must have a minimum of three years (6,000 hours) of occupational experience in the related field in the last ten years. A Washington State Career and Technical Education Teacher Certificate is required or applicants must meet the qualifications to obtain one.
Forest Management: This program will be a satellite campus in Washougal at the Excelsior Building.

This past week, sixteen Business Principles students/FBLA members traveled to Bellevue and competed against roughly 2300 others for four days at the FBLA State Business Leadership Conference. Cascadia Tech FBLA finished strong, with five of our sixteen competitors qualifying for finals in five events. As a result, one of our members, Timofey Chumak, has qualified to travel to Anaheim, CA at the end of June to compete on the national stage at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in the competitive event, Securities and Investments.
Competition this year has been significantly more intense than in past years and all of our students proved to be up to the challenge, finishing their competition year with a strong presence in Bellevue. Congratulations to our finalists!

CTE Plan 2 summer courses are being held remotely.
CTE 301 - Coordination Techniques (usually offered during ODD years and summer)
CTE 302 - Student Personal Development and Leadership (usually offered during EVEN years and summer)
CTE 303 - History and Philosophy of CTE Education (usually offered during summer)
If you have three years (6,000 hours) of occupational experience in a specific area and are interested in teaching, consider pursuing a Career and Technical Educator (CTE) certificate.
Cascadia Technical Academy is an approved provider by the Washington State Professional Educator Standards Board for the Plan 2 Business and Industry route CTE teacher preparation program. This competency-based training is designed to prepare you for a CTE teaching career at the secondary level (grades 7-12). It serves as a pathway to obtain an initial CTE Teaching Certificate from the Office of the Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction. To qualify for the CTE Teaching Certificate, you must meet the OSPI Business and Industry (Specialty Program Areas) requirements.
