Dear Families,
Our BMS Open House for Parents and Guardians will be on Sept. 19th. It will begin at 6:30 and end at 8:00 pm. Parents and guardians will follow their child's schedule for the evening to get a glimpse into a typical school day here at BMS. At each "class meeting" that you attend that night, you'll hear a little about the teacher, curriculum to be learned this year, and review classroom expectations & grading practices. This is a parents/guardians only event.
This event is not for conferences about individual students. Parent - Teacher Conferences will be in late October and early November.
Parking is still a challenge on campus. We strongly encourage friends and neighbors to carpool to this event. (That way you may be able to have a late supper together afterwards.)
We are planning to have all teachers park out back on the blacktop and on the new bus exit road. The new teacher lot will be left empty for parents to use. Our driveway has 3 lanes. On that night, cars will be allowed to park on the inside lane of the driveway as you enter all the way down to the drop off loop. Cars can also park on East St. and enter the campus using the walkway from there.
Your students will fill out a class schedule for parents this week. The teachers will keep them and distribute them to families in Homeroom at the start of the Open House event that night. You will follow your student's schedule to meet the teachers. So it's important for you to know your child's homeroom number when you attend on Sept. 19th.
