Message from the Directors Message from the Directors

May is here, and it is a busy but rewarding time as we celebrate our students' incredible achievements and look toward the future. Legacy Campus students have truly excelled on the competitive stage this past month. We are incredibly proud of our winners from FCCLA, SkillsUSA, BattleBots and ACE as they showcased elite technical and leadership skills, securing top spots in their respective state competitions. We are so grateful for the hard-working Legacy Campus staff that help make this campus a success in so many ways and will be celebrating them next week during Staff & Teacher Appreciation Week.

We recently wrapped up a fantastic series of Orientation Nights. It was wonderful to meet the incoming students and families who will be joining us for the 26-27 school year. We can’t wait to see the energy and talent this new group brings to our campus!

As the school year draws to a close, we really have so much to celebrate. Students are working hard to wrap up their academic requirements and show what they've learned during Finals Week. We have Industry Signing Day next week where we are celebrating students as they sign letters of intent to begin their professional careers in essential, high-skill industries aligned with their Career and Technical Education pathway. We also look forward to honoring many of our senior students as we celebrate their incredible accomplishments at our Senior Awards Ceremony.

Congratulations to ALL our students on a phenomenal year and thank you to all of the family and community members that support DCSD Legacy Campus along the way!

Architecture Field Trip

Our Architecture students had the amazing opportunity to take a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel construction site in April to learn about the renovation project underway. Students were able to walk through the construction site which is enclosed within a temporary building to protect the chapel site from weather. They learned about the value engineering process that occurred during the original construction, and the subsequent leaks that caused the degradation of the building. They learned about the care that has been taken to replace and restore each building material to match the original building. Thank you to everyone that made this trip possible!

ACE Mentor Competition

DCSD Legacy Campus students took the stage at the ACE Mentor Competition hosted at the CU Denver School of Architecture, and they absolutely delivered. From innovative design thinking to confident, professional presentations, these students represented the very best of what hands-on, real-world learning can look like. We’re so proud of the creativity, collaboration, and dedication they brought to this experience.

A huge thank you to the ACE Mentor Program for your new partnership and for investing in the next generation of architects, engineers, and construction professionals. Opportunities like this make a lasting impact, and we’re grateful to be part of it!
