Worthingway Update
Friday, February 20, 2026
Dear Worthingway Families,
I am writing to share two important updates from our building.
First, today during 5th period we briefly held students in their classrooms for approximately 12 minutes after the bell into 6th period due to a student medical concern. This was not a lockdown, rather just a hold in classrooms to allow the medical staff space in our hallways. Our staff responded immediately and followed established safety protocols to ensure the student received prompt attention while maintaining a calm and orderly environment. I am proud of how both our staff and students handled the situation. I am happy to share that the situation was handled appropriately, the student received the care they needed, and classes resumed as normal shortly afterward.
Additionally, we have recently addressed instances of vandalism in our student restrooms. The content has been hateful in nature and does not reflect the values of our school community. We are taking this matter seriously, actively investigating, and will determine appropriate follow-up aligned with our behavioral expectations.
I also want to recognize the many students who have spoken up and reported concerns when they see something inappropriate. The positive behaviors we see every day far outweigh the negative actions of a few individuals. We will continue reinforcing expectations around respect, responsibility, and belonging.
As always, the safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority. Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Todd Keenan
