Message from the Superintendent
Working in Lake Oswego is truly a blessing! As superintendent of this wonderful school district, I am grateful for many things, namely:
Students in our schools smiling and working hard;
Teachers and staff providing the best experience for our students;
Alumni returning to our schools as teachers and staff members because they want to carry on our tradition of making a difference in the lives of young people;
Families engaging in our education system;
School Board directors guiding with compassion and courage, and student representatives modeling thoughtful leadership;
Community residents valuing and supporting schools;
Administrators and school leaders being more than coworkers;
And, of course, my family who supports me always.
The common thread is I am thankful for the relationships with people in our learning community. You continue to add deep value to my life and I am very grateful for your continued support over the years. May you have a wonderful holiday season with people to who you are thankful, too.
Seasonal Fare on the Lunch Menu
Our Nutrition Services team treated students to some seasonal favorites on the lunch menu this week. Mashed potatoes and gravy, crustless-pumpkin pie squares, and…baked chicken. Turkey supplies were in short order. The students seemed to enjoy the chicken just as much! It's more fodder for the great debate on what is the favorite serving for Thanksgiving. Bon Appetit!
