Kat Stafford, CSA for the Akron TBK Bank presented funds to the Akron 3rd & 4th grade classes for their work at the Akron TBK Bank Half Time Hoop Shoots held during high school basketball games. The 3rd grade class raised $457.00 during the Akron/Burlington game and the 4th grade class raised $210.00 during the Akron/Haxtun game. No one made any of the shots during both the Hoop Shoot games so the funds were split between both grades with each receiving an additional $100.00 towards their fundraising goals. Great job Akron Rams!!!

The 8th graders and preschoolers LOVED the nice weather. Wednesday, the MIGHTY RAMS got CREATIVE AGAIN. They went on a nature hunt and were tasked with creating a person or animal. Their creations were so neat to watch develop.

Last Friday, Mrs. Hall and her FCCLA members attended an Eagles game at Blue Arena. The students enjoyed the hockey game, concessions food, and time together. Students also enjoyed a trip to Scheels.

On Monday night, our Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) group gathered at the Foursquare Church. The students had a wonderful time engaging in fellowship with one another, participating in exciting games, and sharing a delicious dessert bar. This event provided an excellent opportunity for students to connect, build friendships, and grow in their faith.

They will meet again on May 5th at the Elks Lodge.

The Fight the Funk Leadership Summit took place at NJC on Tuesday. Featured keynote speaker, retired Pro-Bowl NFL receiver Brandon Lloyd spoke to students about coping strategies to address mental health and substance use challenges they and their peers face.

On Tuesday, the Preschool got to go on an adventure! They are learning about tubes and tunnels. At the hardware store and The Mop Shop students took a tally of how many tubes they saw. Afterwards they stopped at the park for recess. They had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

On Thursday, our 1st grade class went on their exciting annual field trip to the Fish Hatchery in Wray, where they had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of fish and aquatic life. At the fish hatchery, the students were able to see various species of fish swimming in large tanks and learn about the importance of conservation efforts in maintaining healthy fish populations.

Following their visit to the hatchery, the class made their way to Mr. Bledsoe's house. Mr. Bledsoe showcased his extensive collection of dinosaur fossils, captivating the students with stories of prehistoric creatures and the science behind paleontology.

Our MS tracksters had a beautiful day for their meet in Wiggins. Many of our students had their personal bests and continue to improve their times and distances.

They will travel to Wray on Friday, April 11th.

The Lady Rams will golf again on Friday in Stratton.

The Akron High School Track team participated in the Wiggins Invite on Saturday. It was a chilly day but beautiful with low winds. We had a lot of great outcomes and continue to improve.

On Monday the HS participated in Yuma. The team had some personal bests and some top placers.

The track team will run again on Thursday in Wray.

On Saturday, the Rams faced Merino for a double header. Although they battled, the Rams came up sort in the first game, but had a 11-6 win to split on the day.

The Rams hosted Wray on Tuesday night for a varsity and JV game. The Rams were victorious in both games, winning 8-4 and 8-7.

The Rams host Wiggins on Thursday night for varsity followed by Merino for JV and travel to Caliche on Friday.
